I tend to agree it's a senseless remake. I like David Gordon Green a lot, and I think he could even provide a really unique take on a high school football drama, but there's absolutely no reason for it to be this specific property that was already so on point (you know, aside from the Season 2 issues).
BK I'm kinda surprised you don't know the TV show. It's so good! (again, aside from the Season 2 issues). The movie is quite good, but the show is like above and beyond.

It's probably my favourite American football movie. (Although I have a soft spot for the Replacements it has to be said)

I felt the last season was weak in places too, but loved the show as a whole.

Just ask yourself WWRD?

It used to be on Netflix but now it's just on Hulu. Get a free trial and I think you'll zoom through it.

So they want to make a sequel to WILLOW (They being Ron Howard and probably Warwick)...but I mean, Val Kilmer is so ravaged by cancer now that he can't speak, Joanne Whalley is fine and could return as an older Sorsha but I've not seen her in much since WILLOW, so who knows...so it would be Elora (grown up...going by our time she'd be 30-something now), Willow, and the brownies, with a possible Sorsha cameo (I don't know how heavy her role would be as Queen mother of Tir Asleen if the cast is going on an adventure).

Anyways, I'm conflicted. A Willow film without Madmartigan would be tough to do. It's one of my favourite movies of all time....but I'm not so sure a sequel is a good idea.

I also need them NOT to adapt the terrible trilogy of sequel books. Those were awful.

Is this just fantasy?

Damn, Malek looks just like him.

And no idea who they've cast as May and Taylor, but they both look bang on as well.

I think Malek looks very little like Mercury. Doesn't sound or act like him quite right either.

But still, I think Malek is an inspired choice for the character. If nothing else the guy does eccentric well.

BILL & TED 3 officially happening!

It will be called BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC, and both Winters and Reeves will return. Being shopped at Cannes apparently.

AMAZING news. I love both of the original movies in this franchise.

STATION!

You love BOGUS JOURNEY?

Really?

...REALLY????

You’re goddamn right I do. It took the concept and expanded it in crazy ways, while sticking to the things that make Bill & Ted ...Bill & Ted!

Fuck, it’s worth it for the scene where Death loses at every board game ever...alone.

I was more interested in it when Sasha was attached, seemed like it might be something other than a standard biopic. This looks standard, but maybe with a better subject matter than most, like Straight Outta Compton. Freddie Mercury was just an inherently riveting dude, so a well-made by-the-numbers biopic might still be pretty thrilling.

Found time after the little shits when to sleep to watch Fire Walk With Me. I enjoyed it. And random, but i've always enjoyed Chris Isaak as an actor.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Kong: Skull Island
It was just 'meh', I thought. I mean the special effects and action was fun enough, but it was more or less just a hollow experience. There wasn't really much for me to get emotionally attached to. I did like John C. Reilly's character. But, yeah, it just seemed to hastily go from scene to scene without building much suspense or drama or anything really.

Oh and I see what they did at the end of the credits roll. A ha, that should get nerds excited (if they plan on acting on that tease).
Spoiler

I give Kong: Skull Island 3 John Goodman being digested camera flashes out of 5
