Saw BAD MOMS tonight and it was fantastic! Hilarious and charming. Best comedy I've seen in a long time.

That looks pretty cool, kind of a District 9 type thing they got going there...

Based on the noise at the end I'm guessing the aliens are actually:

Spoiler

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It's Clint so what we can speculate is: it's gonna be a good 100 minute movie stretched to 130 minutes; performances will be subdued but good; its color palette will range from slate grey to storm cloud grey.

Yah it's pretty impressive, especially cuz he does some pretty big (or at least mid-level) period/action movies. He's not quite 1 movie per year, but on the other hand some years he has 2 out, so close enough.

I think he could stand to be a little less active to be honest.

Also start making films again and not Oscar checklists.

I saw Star Trek last night and I really enjoyed it. Much much better than the second one.

That looks really interesting. Sort of a mix of Sphere and Contact.

I just hate the whole "Are they here to destroy us/subjugate us"? angle. It's such a tired first contact subject.

Bitch, they flew all the way here in a gigantic floating rock. If they wanted to fuck us up they would and there ain't a thing in the world you could do about it. Better give those nice Aliens some flowers and chocolate instead.

Is that movie based on Stories of Your Life by Ted Chiang? At any rate, it looks really interesting. Hopefully she'll not be given a machine gun at any point.

This is like a horror film made for people over 60. Oh noes, the hack is coming from within the house!

And at the same time it's a revenge porn film for the kids who are constantly fixing family members computers.

Will Ferrel and John C Reilly are making a Sherlock Holmes film:

I really love this idea.

The wife and I were watching BREWSTER'S MILLIONS on Shomi last night, and at one point Richard Pryor, John Candy, and Jerry Orbach are all on screen at the same time and my wife goes "They're all dead in real life."

Nothing puts a damper on a mediocre 80's comedy movie like realizing many main players are deceased.

Yeah, that's the reason why I primarily watch Russian live cam girls.

just watched fast 7.

I feel stupider than I did 2 hours ago.

The only thing done well in this film was the goodbye to Paul Walker at the end.

Every fight, every chase, every sequence was just fucking stupid. not ott fun silly, just stupid. no one takes an 1 1/2 wrench to the head and shakes it off to go toe to toe again.
you do not get face smashed into pillars hard enough to shatter the facing and not be bust into shite, and shake it off to go toe to toe again.
stathams ending. bah

the rocks finish up? bah

THEY RE USING ARMOUR PIERCING ROUNDS OH NO!!!!one 111 one.

the non bullet proofed cars have been so riddled with bullets there's not possible way a toad could have surivived them without being hit, let alone human beings.

this film is everything that is wrong with a hollywood blockbuster, without any of the fun of the other films.

Tokyo drift, don't feel so bad, you are no longer the worst in the franchise.
20 mile runway? dont feel so bad, you are no longer the shark that matters, 7 jumped several bigger ones.

The Mrs and I decided to go see Pete's Dragon. I have fond memories of liking the original as a kid even though I can't really remember a thing about it anymore. Elliott was wonderfully animated (cgi) and the kid they casted for Pete was adorable. I have to say Disney has been nailing their live-action remakes between this and The Jungle Book.

Someone should do a movie of Patrick Tilley's "Fade-Out".
"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes

"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys
