there's really not a lot you can do with snakes on a plane ... besides have them crawl out of everywhere ... seems immediately boring imho

There might not be a lot you can do, but whatever there is that you can do... they do it. No part of the human anatomy gets spared. Every way a man can kill a snake on a plane is exhausted.

It was fun. It could have been more fun.

I want mutant snakes for the sequel.

I just saw 'Snakes on a Plane' twenty minutes ago and I am still smiling and giggling like a maniac! I loved that movie! I don't care how corny some of the lines were and how bad the snakes were and the whole biting people on their private parts....it was an awsome movie and i saw it on the IMAX screen which makes it all that much better. Gods I love Samuel L. Jackson, in my next life I'm coming back as him!:)

So I finally saw V for Vendetta last night. Even though I owned the DVD for the past 6 months..

I must say it is probably one of the better movies I have seen in a while. If you like 1984 and Farenheit 451 this is exactly your type of movie. Love that Masked character guy too :) he was most certainly a cool chap..
Quite a testemant to the times to as well this movie,..

I went and saw 'Thank you for smoking' tonight with Shiara and Centz - best darn satire I've seen in ages!:)

EDIT: Oooo! Silent Hill comes out in Australia next week. Am very excited! Has anyone seen it yet? Is it good?

Saw "Little Miss Sunshine" today. Quite good. Intelligent comedy, which balances out my enjoyment of "Snakes on a Plane."
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Thank You For Smoking was the best film I've seen this summer - the only downside to it was that I believe it was adapted from a book and you can tell that they have cut down on the storyline quite a bit. Nevertheless, I was hooked by the bodycount at the beginning and really enjoyed it. Whoever knew how much damage nicotine patches could do?

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Issue 1 of Snakes On A Plane: The Comic! Not nearly as good as the film, of course, but what're you going to do besides watch it?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I just saw "Little Miss Sunshine" this last weekend. For those who like their comedies dark and dysfunctional - this is wet-your-pants funny. Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin, Toni Collette, and the always awesome Steve Carrell are just so dead-on.

So would you call it a cross between Donnie Darko (dark) and Eulogy (dysfunctional) ?

You know, I would like to live in a dictatorship where I can drink whisky and sit in front of a plasma screen...
Imho, the film is very weak, even compared to the Alan Moore comic, and does not live up to 1984.

The only help you need is either a trip to a shop, or a torrent of it to download. And maybe some minor psychiatric assistance, but that's neither here nor there.

I will not hear the words snakes, plane, on, a, and bad in the same sentence.

I've seen it, but a large chunk of it was missing so I didn't quite get the storyline (haven't played the games), but it was entertaining and a bit scary, but then again, I'm easily scared.

So, lately I've seen a lot of movies.

Zatoichi - funny and pretty weird japanese film about Ichi a blind masseur / samurai. A lot of killing and some interesting twists in the plot.

Over the Hedge - very funny, very adorable animated movie about little forest critters that get into trouble.

The Wild - very Madagascar-like movie, but funny. Sometimes they try a bit too hard to be funny. Best Scene:

Nigel the Koala has become God of the Wildebeests and must sacrifice his friends. To stall the whole thing he says:

" But we need hats!"

Wildebeests: " Hats?"

Nigel: " Do we not have the Party Hats of Death?"

and of course:

Nigel: " Jes suis Koala. Sprechen sie Koala?"

Pride and Prejudice - quite entertaining and romantic.

American Dreamz - very funny Idol parody.

RV - also very funny Robin Williams movie.

the Benchwarmers - Hilarious movie with David Spade, Rob Scneider and Jon Heder ( napoleon dynamite), about three adult guys playing baseball against little leaguers.

Ant Bully - cute movie about ants.
Things and stuffs...and other important objects.

Saw Hollywoodland. It wasn't bad. Best thing Affleck may have done in his career. It could have stood a little more editing, though - felt like it dragged on.

Underworld Evolution was to underworld as reloaded was to the matrix.

I thought they both sucked.
