I also liked Memento. But one weak point was that I don't think there was anything particularly profound or groundbreaking about the "middle scene" (the last scene in the movie) that made it deserve to be a climax.

You mean other than the fact that
Spoiler

OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

saw miami vice .. not too good... the tone of the show is weird

How so? I must admit I have no intentions of seeing it, Colin Farrell tends to ruin any movie with his lame acting but I'd be interested to know how the tone was wrong? I'd have imagined they would have just stuck to the original 'miami vice' type storylines and the such.

They do that all the time. Like they made a big thing of Bon Jovi being in U571 and he was in it for like twenty minutes. More people recognise the name Jamie Foxx then Gong Li - it's all about marketing

I have to say I'm addicted to watching The 13th Warrior with a few thins and a fat blunt!

The soundtrack is amazing also. Jerry Goldsmith is the composer. If SE has any sense (which I'm 100% certain he has bundles of) he should get Goldsmith to do the Film Score for Chain Of Dogs! T'would be perfect I tell you!!!!

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Are you just trying to make us waste some money on entrance fees to the cinema, or is it actually worth seeing? And when I say worth seeing, I don't mean because of comedy through mediocrity.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Can you tell us something specific? I'm interested in that movie but haven't seen any reviews yet -- and tired of being disappointed this year.

I don't care if it's the equivalent of visual cancer, I'm going to see it.

Go see Snakes on a Plane.
And you don't need to see it for Jackson cursing.
Real cool movie although alittle cheesy at the end.

There is no story, really. Pretty much the plot is summed up in the title. It's basically a filmed thrill ride. It's scary and hilarious, often at the same time.

And when Jackson says the now-famous line, the whole theater shouted it along with him. That was cool.

there's really not a lot you can do with snakes on a plane ... besides have them crawl out of everywhere ... seems immediately boring imho
