This series is a mostly-unauthorized reboot of the original films.
Van Damme is not playing/reprising Sloane, and didn't play Sloane in the first one (this is also a sequel to the initial rebooted film, Kickboxer: Vengeance), and does not fight in them. He's a trainer.
They are made by a straight-to-video/Schlock producer director hack named Dimitri Logothetis, and is therefore not even worth commenting on, let alone watching.

Yes, this would be the 4th film in the franchise.

Oh, and if you wonder who the demographic is for this movie existing? It's me. It's fucking me. I grew up with the Dundee movies, and I loved all three of them. I will see this - barring that it's not some elaborate Super Bowl commercial ad, as some have posited....but two teaser trailers, with wholly different scenes, and a few production stills which show OTHER scenes....I think this is real.

How they kept this under wraps is REALLY beyond me.

Synopsis:

Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he's missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouth American son no one knew he had. Introducing Danny McBride as Brian Dundee.

"This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he teams up with a local expert, Wally Jr., played by Chris Hemsworth. Together, they'll embark on the ultimate adventure in the land down under.

"It's time to live up to the family name."

...

I can see it now...

I wonder if Van Damme can still do the split maneuver. If he can, I can see them working that in to this. A scene where he does it while fighting the Mountain from GoT and using his scrotum as a speed bag.

All true but c'mon, LOOK at that cast...

Van Damme, Lambert, Tyson, and The Mountain... It's like The Even More Less Talented Expendables guest starring The Mountain.

It's exactly as cool as it appears, which is to say so utterly not cool as to become cool in a so bad it's good kind of way, only worse.

There is literally no one in that cast who can deliver a line of dialogue.

A lot of movie trailers debuting during these NFL Conference Championship games (Rampage, Tomb Raider, Ready Player One). Basically Super Bowl lite for commercials when you consider it.

You movie freaks better use your google-fu and get them up here asap, so the discussions can begin in earnest.

[EDIT]I lol'd when The Rock says: "of course the wolf can fly".

The ready player one trailer had me at Van Halen.

The other two seem like an excellent summary of everything thats wrong with movies in 2018.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Hey, he's the expert man, so we shouldn't even comment on it. Better do what the expert suggests and just move on.

So, ummm, about Darkest Hour. I haven't seen it and I gather Gary Oldman's performance has been getting quite the recognition during awards season. But I dunno guys, I mean I haven't seen it or anything, but from what clips I've seen (trailers and such) his performance seems way over the top, which has always bugged me when it comes to actors' portrayal of historical figures (particularly ones you can find archival footage of). Anyway guys, those that have seen this film, what do you think? Oh and guys, no "experts'" opinions allowed. Only, heart felt reactions from the true peeps on the forum. Those reactions from the unwashed masses who's opinions matter. Not some hyperbolic, jerk response like, blah blah, its produced and released by blah blah blah, who has a shitty record of blah blah blah, so no need to blah blah blah, kay?

Think we've found our new cast for suicide squad 2!

I forgot there was a third Crocodile Dundee movie. Re: the second one, even as a kid -- the kind of kid who fell for Short Circuit 2 hook line and sinker -- for Croc I was like "This movie doesn't need a sequel. Why are they doing this to us?"

Mick Dundee wouldn't go missing in the outback unless he wanted to be missing in the outback. This film is built on lies.

To be fair, if we didn't have so many corroborating accounts of his life, the stories of Churchill would be dismissed as fantastical caricatures.

Every movie he ever did after HIGHLANDER says you're wrong.

...at least, they would say you're wrong if he could deliver a line of dialogue...
