Someone in the comment section about the teaser said it...and TLJ still has a lot of people freshly salty about stuff like the lightsaber toss, so makes sense.

Very watchable, the deadpan comedy elements are delivered nearly all superbly.

Watched Mother! and while I think advertising it as a horror film was a big mistake, I still liked it. I can see why some people love it or hate it, but I wasn't in either camp. It's just a very well made extended metaphor. Maybe some would consider it too on the nose -- and yah, once you 'get it' then you spend the rest of the movie lining things up to see how they are depicted. But I liked that about it. It's definitely not on the same level as, say, Children of Men in terms of spec fic movies with a message, but I'd give it a solid B.
