Just watched Iron Sky. It is most likely the best movie made in 2012.
Really?
I was horribly dissappointed in the ending.... as sf it was bad comedy and as a comedy it was bad sf, and the whole thing devolved into not even thinly veilied anti-american nonsense.

Sean Connery was a WAY better Bond as far as I'm concerned Abyss
I dunno about WAY better...Roger Moore will always have a special place in my heart for being in The Spy Who Loved Me. Such a good film. ...
I agree that empirically Connery was better as Bond, but Moore is so clearly having more fun and his flics are so over the top that I will always have a soft spot in my filmheart for them.
It's also one of those things where the first actor you see as Bond tends to be the one you most identify as the character. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME and MOONRAKER were two of the first movies i ever saw.

...I will never forgive Roger Moore because in Octopussy he has 4 minutes to stop a nuclear bomb and, needing a disguise, he stops and get a full clown costume including full face paint.
He's 007. He had an emergency clown costume in his wallet.

Roger Moore fluctuates I think. His Bond solidified a lot of the things that make Bond who he is, but then you get performances like Octopussy and A View to a Kill, which are just plain awful.
A VIEW TO A KILL had its problems but the Sony Walkman/Garrot and Grace Jones make up for most of them.
