Glad to hear 3:10 to Yuma was good,

I went and saw Shoot em up myself.

Corny at times, but still some very bad ass action scenes, had some pretty funny parts as well,

I left the theatre felling good, like my money wasnt wasted

the opposite of what I felt when I saw Pathfinder...if only crapiness was enough to get your money back.

Seconding Hot Fuzz - it was brillian. Though you have to be used to British comedies, for the sake of understanding the accents well enough.

Finally got my "Rajio no jikan" ("Welcome back, Mr. McDonald!") DVD. Brilliant comedy. I've seen it twice already, but that didn't keep me from laughing again. It's probably the funniest movie I've ever seen.;)

Saw Dragon Wars last night.... Terrible Terrible Terrible.
Dont bother with it.
Some of the worste acting, ive seen in recent years.

I think they should of focused more on Dragons vs army....it would have been better...because they try and make a story out of it and the actors/writers/producers just suck it up.

-special effects werent half bad in some spots.

Any one see the trailer for the dark is rising...

How cool is that....

Im just worried with all the fantasy movies comming out it wont get the attention it deserves.... I hope it is well recieved.... it looks pretty damn good... though its been a long time since I read the books so I wont know if they stay true or not.

any one else notice the flood of children fantasy books being converted to movies since Harry Potter

I am afraid to say Xanth that if you liked the books then you will find almost nothing the same between them. The story has been changed beyond all recognition to generic light vs dark war with very heavy christian overtones completely different from the book which is a shame.

3.10 to Yuma was a really good film enjoyed it immensely would recommend it to anyone.

I finally saw Flags of our Fathers. It was really good, very moving and subtle. It didn't drum the message home excessively like many films tend to do. Clint decided to trump Saving Private Ryan in the beach landing realistic horrors of war department, which gave me nightmares about Hitler chasing me in a tank. Highly recommended by me.

Resident Evil extinction- Good action movie, get what you ask for.

Good Luck chuck: Very funny, laughed my ass off, you may or may not see Jessica Alba's nipple in one of the scenes.

Mr. Woodcock: it was allright, but didnt make me laugh out loud to much.

OK, this movie is from 2000 and probably doesn't fit in the recent blockbuster list you've been making here, but I finally saw "Otesanek" (or "Little Otik"), an old fairy tale presented in a very surreal way by Jan Svankmajer, Czech director who had great influence on people like Tim Burton, David Lynch and Terry Gilliam. Well... a weird movie. But a good one. Got me a bit confused at first, but in the end, it was well invested time.

Saw Death Proof yesterday. Tarrantino really needs to cut down on the boring monologues..... but then if he did, the movie would only be 20 minutes long. As it is, there are 20 minutes that are really good i.e. whenever Kurt "Stuntman Mike" Russell is in his car (25 minutes for the chaps as there's a lap dancing scene), and 80 minutes of absolute boringness. But it is still kind of worth a watch so long as you take low expectations in with you! Beautifully shot as usual, the gorey bits are brilliant and the car chase pay off at the end is great.

Watched Hot Fuzz tonight on dvd and enjoyed it tremendously, as I did Shaun of the Dead. I wondered, however, whether you Brits see it as funny-cuz-it's-inconceivable-that-garden-clubs/communityboosters-could-be-that-fascist or funny-cuz-it's-entirely-conceivable-that-garden-clubs/community boosters-could-be-that-fascist-cuz-afterall-they're-Brits?

I saw Atonement the other day. It was rather good. I'm not sure how much chaps will enjoy it though, apart from their being lots of (she-of-the-annoying-jaw) Keira Knightly in it. I think the ladies will like it, I cried. However, I hear the book is really good but I haven't read it, so I don't know how it compares. So...umm.... definitely recommended for the ladies .... and gents of a more sensitive nature B)

@ Charlz ~ Probably because it is conceivable that middle-class English country folk could be that fascist!
