Goldeneye is still the best bond film ever.
I though Brosnan was a good home but was handed some dogshit films after Goldeneye. I thought Dalton reserved a longer run too

Wow, some very positive posts about GoldenEye. I think I have to watch it now. I'll definitely be looking for it. Thanks for the reccos guys!

Outlaw king was bad.
Plotting and pacing is bad. when characters die poignantly in screen and your left thinking oh yeah that's the boy we saw earlier, things have gone wrong.
Did I catch some of the same actors from Braveheart?

If you had Goldeneye on the N64 then you need to examine your prejudices before making a statement like that. Without that game I would not think of the film as fondly.

Looks neat visually, looks bad dialogue-ally.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

This is the first footage I've seen of Detective Picachu. It looks waaaaay better than it has any right to.

The only issue I have is that it will be a PG movie as there was several times in that trailer that if it was a 16R movie the dialogue might have been different especially with Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu but this is only a small issue that I have. I can't wait for the movie the animations look gorgeous.

...it is Pokemon. How would it in any universe ever have even had a remote speck of a change to be a concept for consideration of a 16R? The mind boggles.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Finished. I enjoyed it but it did have some cheese. It excelled at violence. I wanted to paint my own face in my enemies blood after a certain point. Is there a lot of rainbows in Scotland? Like 3 of them appeared within 20 mins of each other.
I read this comment thinking BK was talking about Detective Picachu and wondered what drug he is on.

Well you can take Pikachu's and grind them up into 'candy' that helps level your actual pet pikachu.
I have heard the effects of the 'candy' on humans can be quite..... Electrifying
Also that would definitely be 16R

Not if it happens off-screen, like in the app.

I've been re-watching the Twilight movies. It's my little project while Mr PigDog is working away and I have free reign of Netflix. I read a grown up article about the Twilight series that acknowledged the awfulness but also pointed out that without their success we wouldn't have had The Hunger Games, Wonder Woman and upcoming Captain Marvel and the new realisation that female lead adventure movies make good money (obviously the studios were too dumb to notice Ellen Ripley and Sarah Conner). I'm seeing them in a new light, Bella is a bit more badass and knows her own mind than I remember. I still haven't read the books and I think this is the second time I'm watching each film. Just thought I would let you all know - it's not as awful as it was. I'm sure you will all rush to see them now.
I'm three in which means I just watched Eclipse which is the one where I gets a bit tongue in cheek with the tent scene when Jacob has to remind Edward that he's hotter than him.

I watched Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting. I mean, okay, Valerian himself was as hilariously miscast as advertised and every bit of his interaction with Laureline was awful, but I thought Cara Delevigne on her own was not bad and the action and spectacle were consistently good, even past the genuinely top-notch opening sequences.
