Ew Joomla? Haha. :)

Looks good, though. Although I have to say that dark purple on black isn't the easiest to read.

Very cool, and well done to all involved. Glad to see SE likes it too.

I was especially amused when our group picture from the summer BBQ came up... It seemed oddly out of place with the rest of the atmospheric drawings and text :)

just finished talking with the hosting people. You should be able to reset your bookmarks to malazanempire.com and it should take you to the new homepage :p

@Tiste: we may put more photos up. I'm not aware of an upper limit on number of images to include so the more the merrier from my perspective :p

edit: Theo has added a bunch of images recently so if anybody hasn't looked in a while...:)

Lol, that's an understatement. For me, it's completely unreadable. Some people no longer have the eyesight they had when they were 20. :)

But the pics are cool.

Yknow, it's amazing how the text puts the pics in a context . The Menandore dragon pic, while a very impressive work, had no 'Malazan' feel to me until you added the text and then i got shivers. TootToot goes from mildly amusing to LOL with the Iccy quote.

Very, VERY nice work all around.

- Abyss, asks if someone would please do a pic of Greyfrog so the 'He ate their heads!' text can be put under it??? Please? Pretty please???

Wow! I always mean to take more of a regular look in the Art forum but always feel a bit derisive of fantasy fan art. Was I ever wrong!? They are all good but some of those are really brilliant and the quotes really add an extra dimension (I especially like the burning ships). I think people who stumble upon the site will be highly impressed - then they will fall into the Inn and the veneer will be lost forever!

Not possible. It's a third party module especially for this purpose (kiosk display). Those images are only for teasing. If you are interested in Malazan Art you should go to the board gallery or visit one of the artist's homepage. Some of their websites have already been added as links on the website ("Links").

Hmm... the dark purple isn't dark on my monitor at home, but it is darker on my work monitor.
For me it's a light purple and perfectly readable. I don't think this is a site issue, but more likely a monitor one or possibly even browser-related. Just to clarify - what browser are you using please?

I don't think it's browser related. We used JPGs and web safe colors. They work on every device. It was difficult for me to read the links on my other monitor as well. I just increased brightness and did some fine-tuning with the contrast level and it looks the same now.

I like it very much, it's awesome! :) I just wish that the images with text wouldn't roll so fast though - half the time there's not enough time to read the entire text before it switches, and I want to look closely at the image and read... :p

Awesome, great work lads! Some of the images are truly stunning. My current favorite is the one where Icarium is musing and you see an image of a dinosaur with a hat on and having fun in his flying ship :)
