Booze is awesome.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Why is it that C*nt so offensive? If a guy got called a dick, does he go crying into the bathroom with his boys while a stunned bar stands back in hushed disbelief? NO. Get over yourselves and get back to fighting the really offensive words. Like meekrob.

You've maybe never been on the receiving end of a (ex-) boyfriends punch or kick, when he says the word each time the blow lands.
So yeah, call me sensitive. It's just one word, that's all :D

I wouldn't know where to think about trying to begin to reply to that, apart from the fact that I hope that whoever it was got their just desserts.

So far I reckon I aint been too bad...mostly. I prefer to use logical arguments with testicles in them to make my point and thus far okay. Apart from AIJ, we aint kids and neither do we act like it. I've never had a problem with Illys swearing and don't think I've ever seen him go overboard. In terms of self regulating...we're talking about it aint we?

Balls to the lot of you :D

I believe the theoretical issue is, for example, the occasional rant that Illy will launch into. They tend to contain one or more delicate choices for descriptions of people's genetalia and what they can do with them.

I think he's suggesting that that is exactly what he does do...I don't think I've ever been on the receiving end...in fact I've yet to see it.

What's wrong with telling people to jerk off?

Most of the time they're going to do it eventually anyway. :D

A personal request I can respect. Just for you, Hetan, I shall not use that word on the forum again.

@Frook: Some people call me the space cowboy, yeah the Chicken of Hate. The avatar may have changed but I'm still as lighthearted and pleasant as ever.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I've received a dose of chickenly vitriol, I found it rather amusing.
Some day illy will receive a similar bust of incoherent rage, I only hope he is as amused as I was

I may give it marks out of ten. Points will be awarded for extra bile. Also, when and in which thread did I rant at you?

Wait a minute, Leoman's reading this thread? OH SHI-

I can see the hate in its eye, clearly. I feel a foreboding since of doom.

Aha!
I've decided to start frequenting the forums again.

Personally I've never had a problem with anybody's swearing on the board. I think that if it's not directed at anyone, or lightheartedly at certain people who will not be offended, it ain't a problem.

That being said, I lurk /b/ for a reason, thing don't need to get ridiculous.
