Did a reread on Rashan- Only 13 posts and I tend to like to take the path of least resistance. He goes out of his way to say he is a BM and basically outlines a whole strategy for any BM that doesn't want to think.... we'll call it the " Being a Black Mask for Dummies" post. Then he uses a post that tries to make a connection between a joke post by (Kess??? I think) and A comment by Gaylan Lord that would point towards team Ice. Consider earlier he said he thought Korlat was a Leader, and that Gaylan Lord was a Black Mask of Korlat. After the CF we find out that Korlat is wind. and that clearly Korlat wasn't Rashan's leader. So basically Rashan has attacked, Ice, and Wind. and claimed Black mask. I deduce that Rashan is a Fire Black Mask. Normally I am not one to want to vote off the Black masks.. BUT, if we did take him out, thats 1 less vote to protect the Fire leaders when we get there.

Thoughts?

Also... the whole Him being a black mask thing could be a ploy, and if we lynch we are actually getting a 7th or maybe even 1/3... though I am skeptical he would be a first or third. IMO if we lynch Rashan, we are likely reducing Fire down by one Probable black mask with the Bonus that he could be a 7th.

ETA snipped a bit of the OP to try to make it easier to read.

The only problem with your case that I see is that attacking Korlat doesnt necessarily mean he wasnt in wind. He only suggested Korlat was a leader. There's no evidence that he was, meaning Rashan wouldn't have known he was going for one of his team mates (if he was wind). The way you made that logical connection makes me think you know something I dont...

Edit - although the whole 'this is how BMs should play cos I'm a BM and it's how I'm playing' thing does feel a little heavy handed. Could be a ranked player trying to hide.

Naturally, I knew this was coming. Answer is easily given.

In my attack on Korlat, I place a whole lot of emphasis on Blackmasks being expendable and that being why they should attack, so from all that follows the quite logical deduction that my reveal as black mask was and is a good sacrifice to take out a numbered guy, which I think Korlat might have been (numbered the term I mostly used, saying Korlat could have been a 1st or 3rd was done on deduction of how other people reacted to it - i'm now proven wrong by Korlat's alignment and GL's likely one). Basically, I tried to spring a trap on someone not understanding blackmasks cause I figured I would be trading my black ass for a ranked one. Good deal, no?

In the same vein, I published the icicle thing I had on GL. Once again, at worst I expose a black mask (I don't think he is numbered), but I had put my ass on the line already, weakening him more than me :D
Now, would a numbered guy play so brazenly? I think one wouldn't want to step forward like this and make a target out of himself by his own choosing unless he figured he had an absolutely good catch. And if he did, certainly not twice in two days. And if he was stupid enough to do so, probably not on both day 1 and 2 with 24 and 21 alive. Taking into account there's no clear cut lynch target for his symps to deflect the attention away from him on the second day.
Lastly, why did I not then wait until night and attack Korlat then, but did I take the hard road of attacking him on his words, when a massive train was already building on Kaschan and the votes on Korlat (I think he amassed 4 in total?) were dwindling or gone?

With my limited post times, I am merely being as forward as I can be under the circumstances. If I point out what I see, others can strike from the shadows at those people. I play as the little red light under an automatic rifle... completely innocent and easily replaced, as it's the big barrel above it that brings forth the kill.

Rash is def not a noob, and probably one of the more logical, analytical players left in the game.

Well, I haven't seen a lot of posts from him, and don't feel like digging through 38 pages to find them. As I alluded too, wasn't really paying attention to him, so I didn't see a great deal to suggest to me that he was anything special. I remember hearing about RL issues, but that was it. Anything he's said that would lend credence to your statement would be much appreciated.

Just doing my morning check-in guys. The majority seem to be looking at HP, but he is on something like L-4 now and there's tons of time in the day. Remember to give people time to look at others!

Back in 8 hours or so.

I really hate that lol cat speak. not joking. really hate it. makes me think you are hiding something.

Okay...harsh. Not hiding anything, just like teh lolcatz. But if you hate it so much I will cease. Also, Rashan's defense above, is enough proof that he's not a n00b to satisfy me. Now, to proof that he's not a liar is still needed, but I can see he's def not a n00b.

I dont really follow your logic, but I'm a little tired. What exactly are you planning to achieve? Why put yourself on the line to try out someone when you think they're only a blackmask?

Cause his team hasn't taken a hit yet, and it could be good to level the odds tonight.
Also, as said, I have already put myself on the line, so I have less to lose than him.

OK I'm back on and off for the evening shift. So, the case against me consists mainly of one ill-advised comment that is seen as distancing myself from team Fire and that Galain appears to be supporting me in one post, causing people to imagine that I'm a leader in team Fire. Assuming I am lynched today, the CF will clear me on both counts so I hope you all feel stupid afterwards. Put simply, I've been telling the truth as I see it the whole game so far. I don't see any questions directed at me or an actual case to respond to so I'll let you all get on with it.

I'll check the thread periodically in case something new comes up but for now I'll...

I don't really see how the CF would clear you as not being the leader. Since

Quote

The CF will reveal the school and the alt of the player killed.
which means that all we could possibly know is that you were or weren't Fire. It wasn't so much an ill advised comment as several ill advised comments. What you are trying to say is that your words shouldn't be used against you. Well this is mafia and that is what we do.

I'm not sure I totally agree with the HP saudce thing.

I'm still thinking of Serc as a viable lynch option at the moment, but I guess noone else seems to share my feelings for it.

Anyway, to reintroduce Serc as a viable option:

Serc

He just strikes me as a leadertype much more than HP and I think that's where the focus should lie.

The problem is the case is as flimsy as, so part of this is based on gut feel.

@ Rash I wasn't really arguing that you weren't a BM. I threw that in at the end just to get it out there that its still a possibility. I think you are a BM. the point of my case was that I thought you were a Fire BM. But like Telas pointed out, there was a flaw in that logic. Still, I think you are a Fire BM. Maybe I am being tunnel visioned though.

Because the 2 points against him are 1. He did the stupid "I'm not fire" thing. and 2. after he did that Galain defended him. The non fire CF would clear him on both counts (based on this case only) because 1. obviously he isn't fire and 2. (implied) Galain (who is of fire) wouldn't be symping him. It doesn't clear him of not being a leader. Just not being a leader of fire. Whis is what the case against him is.

it's like a day one all over again.. well more like day 1.5. We don't have a hell of a lot more than gut at this point. Just a bunch of WIFOM and 2 dead guys who were on the same team :D

It is day 2, you have 11 hours remaining (sort of)

21 players remain, 11 to lynch or goto night.

6 votes for hp (emurlahn, tennes, serc, meanas, fener, omtose)
1 vote for galayn lord (shadow)
1 vote for rashan (hp)
1 vote for serc (silanah)
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.
