Suppose your sock drawer has 6 black socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, and 2 tan socks. How many socks would you have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?

I guess that's the most logical explanation given the facts... go ahead Cause... and please stop the math-riddles, I hate them. Not that I can't solve them, they just require a way of thinking that tires me instead of enjoys me :harhar:

A man is given by his doctors two bottles of ten pills each to fight his fatal disease. He must tae one of each every day at seven or die. Taking only one will result in death. Taking two of the same will reslt in death. He takes his two bottles and drives home. As he climbs the steps to his apartment he trips and spills the contents of his pills on the floor. One jar has kept two of its contents, while the rest have all scattered and mixed toghether on the floor. He is horrified to learn that not only do all the pills look the same a uniform white, but that aftr being measured they all way the same. Its 5' oclock and his doctor wont be in till morning. How can he safely medicate himself based on the facts..

Mine was a fairly standard 'Are you a psycho nutjob?' question. I'm pretty impressed you got it right so quickly Cause. :harhar:

Okay, this is what I would do (it'd probably kill me straight off, but whatever :) )

Take all pills that fell on the floor, add the two pills that remained in the jar, weigh all the pills together. (which should be 20*the weight of one pill)
Then put all pills together in a mortar and start grinding with the pestle, grind them until they're nothing but powder. Make sure you mix the powder of all the pills in order to create a homogenous mixture (sort of). Then just weigh down 1/10 of the total mass, which should be the same weight as 2*the weight of one pill. Then take that amount of powder in at 7.

Basically this should work... theoretically speaking. Practically speaking I'm sure it's impossible to do because you'll never get a true solid homogenous mixture... but even then you probably won't get a lethal overdose or underdose from a certain pill, which should make you live till the next day :harhar:

Hopefully this is somewhat correct... it probably isn't, but whatever. It works in my brain :)

Naah, I'm waiting for Cause's voice. I wouldn't like to start a new riddle if the old one wasn't solved correctly :)

And @Frook: of course it is, have you seen who posted it? You expected an easy one from HIM? HAHAHAHAH! :harhar:
