Congratulations gentlemen. It may be a bit early, but I believe you are both strong contenders for Understatement Of The Year. :p :p

Is it my imagination, or does she start out in a police uniform? Dear God, I had better watch this episode with a defibrillator, or a handy syringe of adrenaline. :p

I'm going from still pics I found on Google images. Have not seen the episode in question. And for shame, you! :p

You know one thing that makes clear how much better a writer is than RTD? You get the feeling that every line means something... I'm already thinking about the future impacts of certain things. I'm not talking about the obvious myth-arc stuff, but like

Spoiler

Never got that sort of feeling from RTD's stuff, everything that was there to be seen was laid out quite obviously.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Really good start.

More of Geoff, please!

I thought the best line was "Everything's going to be fine."

That one was good too. The great thing with Moffats writing is that he makes up the best cherry lines!

Permit me to also cast my vote on this new doctor looking like a tosser. Seriously, could they not have found someone more attractive? Tennant *squee* was gorgeous!

Alas, at least there is a decent writer heading the initiative...
Kallor said: 'I walked this land when the T'lan Imass

were but children. I have commanded armies a hundred

thousand strong. I have spread the fire of my wrath

across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones.

Do you grasp the meaning of this?'

'Yes,' said Caladan Brood, 'you never learn.'

His horrificating uglyness definitely detracts for me... its just not right. To have Posted Image on screen most of the time really doesn't do it for me. Not at all.

The episode was decent though. Probably even really good if I took the time to edit a bag over his face in every frame.

Aw, he's not that bad! Not as classically handsome as Tennant, sure, but he's quirkily attractive, IMO.

But, more Geoff.

We had to put up with Catherine Tate for a season.

Deal with it.

Yeah, but he is 'fat woman running around in hot pants with five pounds of leg hair showing' ugly. Tate wasn't even close to that bad.

Actually, the general consensus of the women I know is that he seems to have the right type of quirky charm to make him attractive in their eyes. Personally, as a guy, I don't think he's awful looking, merely big forhead-ed and large chin-ed.

If his LOOKS detract from the enjoyment of the show, I can't help ya. You probably shouldn't watch then.

You know some odd women  Then again, the pale-with-hinge-hair thing is as much an ewww as MegaChin and the Wall. However, I have a feeling two or three beers and thinking of him as Simon from Frisky Dingo will make me chortle with laughter throughout the rest of the season, fugly or not. We'll see when I get the next episode.

The Doctor hasn't ever really been cast with a classically good looking man, David Tennant is more quirky good looking than classically good looking.

I don't think Matt Smith is particularly attractive, but I like him as The Doctor :D

Tennant is totally classically good looking! He also, of course, has the whole Scottish accent thing going for him.
