I gave my sister, who is dying from leukemia, a few Terry Goodkind books. She enjoyed them so much she once said to me, "sometimes when I read these books, the pain fades and I can feel happy". She continued to read them until the last few days of her... No, I'm jerking you guys around. TG is horrible human being.

Lets be honest here, if you gave a woman weakened by leukemia and chemo a Goodkind book, it would kill her... not a pleasant way to die at all.

No he's saying they should only be read by the dying. That way we wouldn't be needlessly exposing otherwise healthy people to the soul eroding (and potentially suicide inducing) awfulness of TG.

EDIT: I was just thinking I'd love to think that in some way TG got to read this thread and that our work here might make him shed a single tear at how much we hate the clunge.

In all honesty now, a good friend of mine read the first four or five books in that series and after observing TG's mugshot on the back of those books for four or five novels in a row remarked to me, "He looks like the kind of man who may attempt to pinch your nipples off".

Ok, here i go. What makes Terry Goodkind's sword of truth series any worse than what we have seen in, say, Robert Jordan's whlee of time? I find both series went to hell after the first three installments, but why are we bashing Terry, and not sharing the hate?
