IADMAITTTGIB.

I have read the entire series (collective gasp) because I always finish what I start. So I am coming from a place of knowledge on how bad the series is. Given there are a few ok plot devices, but TG isn't for me and shouldn't be for anyone. They say the world ends in 2012, and the reason is because TG will release a new SoT book.

Stalker, notes that TG is like TB.

TB as in tuberculosis. Keeping with the apocalypse idea there.

Great. Now Goodkind is a diseased badger.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Here's some advice about how you should be behaving, if you want to make this thread A gigantic flame war more active.

This is probably what Morgoth expected to find.

Drenai said:

WOOOOOOOOOOW....I go see Spider-Man 3 and over 2 pages of thread has been added??? And I was accused of having no life and spending all my time online??
I don't even know where to begin to respond to all this. I won't spend much coz it's not worth it; it will cut into my reading time anyway.
First off... it never fails that if one guy mispells something on a thread people jump on him or her for it... that has gotta be the most lame immature thing I can think of. I type fast and don't always feel the need to proofread. Grow up.
On the re-mark about the old woman being mugged? I would remove that man from the gene pool. I am a 4th degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Kung Fu, and which I have been doing since I am 15 years old. When I was 19 years old in college in NYC, I actuallly stopped a robbery at a Dunkin Donuts. In all the fights I have been in(all of which were defending people), I have never had to hit someone more than once. Ok, I had to hit the guy at dunkin' donuts twice...
It's amazing how wound up so many of you got at some simple comments in defense of Terry Goodkind I made, which hardly anyone spelt his first name correctly.
I don't need nor rarely ever feel the need to read anything other than the fantasy genre because I like the ESCAPISM.... isn't that why any of you read fantasy?? Besides that... I kind of have to read fantasy... I illustrate the books covers.
It's unbelievable that for so many fantasy lovers here on this site which many of you may have been outcasts in high school, jump on me like the bullies and jocks that may have abused you.
I guess being called a liberal democrat hit a nerve, but I don't know why, if that is what you are. Why? is it because liberals are only peace loving cowards who can't fight for themselves or allow others to fight for themselves? For a bunch of people who read fantasy, with heroic beings and smiting the enemy, you sure don't act like it.
Oh and one last thing(atleast for now) you don't know my politics, so don't pretend you do. And did I EVER say I was an Objectivist??
If someone is trying to do you harm, kill you, or someone else, it is your moral obligation to end the fight quickly. Spending 5 or 6 years in the Middle East is NOT that way to do that. It should have ended already. But if we Americans don't stand up for the coz of FREEDOM, who will?? Who else is helping us??
I only got turned on to Goodkind not even a year ago, but have always had the same views as he and/or Richard does. Goodkind solidified everything for me and gave all my random beliefs a structure.
And what is trully wrong with saying, "if you don't like Goodkind, you just don't get it".... How much more do I need to talk to a wall? You would either hand over your life to your enemy or you would fight for you life... what is not to get??
Goodkind is NOT clitched... that is probably why many of you hate him. You want the same typical fantasy that all men are born inherently evil.
If I say I love the Shannara books as well, are you going to jump on me for that, too??

okay, the only other instance of a a villanous chicken I can recall EVER encountering is that chicken from Family Guy.
and that chicken would own Goodkind's Chicken any day.

You know why?
first off, because it's man-sized.
Secondly, because it would beat the crap out of Goodkin'd chicken if it ever clucked in his direction.

Didn't Peter once shoot it several times and it still came back? Or was it the other way around and it was shooting at peter? I think it was in some kind of Matrix scene...

actually, sixty I think yours was more readable

anyhow, back tot he point at hand
Re: SE's later books. I can understand the emotion, esp due to the fact that up to boook 6, they can be read as Standalones (though it's a stretch for HoC, imho), but startign with Boneghunters, everything gets tied together, and the writing changes.

Now I' LOVED RG, and I thought what SE triedwith TTH was different (I wrote back when I first read it that it felt inspired by Kay "Sarantine Mosaic"--not the story, but the style), and I felt that it worked.

also, it was the ox that was contemplating life foor 3 pages, and I liked it, lol.

going back tot he Chicken
Apt, accordign to youtubem there wer 4 separate occasions of Chicken fights in Family guy, featuring the same chicken. They were all amusing, and that chicken could really take and dish out a beating.

scene 4 hasn't ben uploaded yet.

still, I stand by in my belief that Goodkind's chicken wouldn't last a minute against that.

I got no problem with discussing his faults, he's got'em the same as everyone. Just seemed like you were on here just to argue and be rude.

You just said his writings "really bad now", just wonderin.

Oh, and i didnt finish Hobbs series with the boats. Didnt like it.

Dude, Goodkind's chicken was the Kryptonite to magic in SoT. He could totally take the Family Guy chicken. And Peter.

Shouldn't the fact that you wrote this be screaming something to you right now about the Sword of Truth series?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
