broken steel level cap up to thirty. suddenly everything makes sense and shooting heads off in vats is so much more satisfying. and i now have the guss rifle and 2000 bullets for it.

just got myself this little beauty and I must say that despite fallout 1 and 2 being horrible, this part is actually very cool! loving the radio feature and the VATS system, it rocks!

my character build is something very, very confused. yes, confused, not confusing. I'm kinda aiming for the Ninja lvl 20 perk, but somehow this seems severely underpowered... putting points in melee and stealth mainly, I still use guns 80% of the time. it's just superior.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

So, got the GOTY Edistion, and got to say, it's pretty damn cool. Well, it's not different, but now I get the 3 downloads I didn't have!

I start up Point Lookout. Get there and i'm like, "wow". This place is sooo coool!
And of course since i'm a level 20, i'm thinking i'm all but invincible.I get into this one place, figuring the bad guys will all bow down in my awsomness right? Wrong. I come in, guns ablazin shootin left, firing right, I figure nothin can stop me. I get freakin obliterated. I didn't see what was coming, totally unprpared.

So yah, this place is awesome, going to go play some more.

Also, I THOUGHT I had lots of ammo. I thought wrong. *sigh* Half my ammo gone in one of my favorite guns.

I bought The Pitt and Operation Anchorage upon release, though apparently I should have waited heh.

Still looking to get the other 3 at some point, I'd probably save more money just paying $30 and downloading them all over Live.
Trading in my old copy would not get enough money to make it worthwhile I'd bet. Gamestop and other trade-in place rip you off.

Well, I had other games I was trading in also at the time, so it worked out with me not really spending to much actual money.

looking at the older fallout games I must say I'd love a remake of them using the Fallout 3 style of interface and Unreal3 engine... with the old really fun perks that gave you both an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time. part 3 seems dumbed down a lot in that aspect

The thing is, a lot of stuff was removed from 1 + 2 to 3. Like the depth of dialogue options, and the ramifications of choices. A lot of the VATS options have been removed, too...but hey, it's still a great game. Just could use some work. XD

I just like my games to have more depth and options. Currently, they seem to be going in the opposite direction. Rather like the way the music industry went when rap and hip hop became 'popular'. Stupid majority is stupid. XD
