Game over folks, please, give me feedback!
And thanks for playing and putting up with my crazy setup!

I think the bolded bit was to let niki know she had hit a power player after a vig failed. But I can see why Telas interpreted it the way he did. The game would be damn near impossible if the only vig in the game couldn't kill either peter or sylar. A clarification might be a good idea. Although the mods will have to defend the choice to do so, because it will hand the game to peter's faction and everyone else will bitch and moan about how it ruined their chances.
I'm sure once more people will hit spoilers, there will be lots of thoughts regarding the setup itself, so I'll add my two cents in the meantime.
All in all a cool setup, but there should have been some way of stopping people from figuring out who is who so early. Maybe only tell Hiro and Isaac the results of the provisionals currently in - stuff like x will die tonight or y will be joining the company. It would also been more inline with the series, since the paintings were pretty cryptic. And if you do ever rerun this game, you would have to either change Noah and Fener's winning condition, or not tell bob which company man is which.
Otherwise it's a very clever game - I especially liked the way the roles were setup and the access to pms power. It would have been cool if parkman wasnt recruited night one. And if everyone didnt go and mass reveal day two.

I am always against revealing... Unless it is to my benefit.

Yes, the setup certainly needs some tweaking, but it's the kind of things that I couldn't have foreseen - I had to test it. There was just no way of telling what people would do with these mechanics - that's why I said it was an experiment.
If/when I do rerun this game, it will probably be very different, but with similar roles.
I like the power roles.
This game was, in hindsight, finished when Peter got that extra vig - oh and it would have been different if Adam was still around.
@Bubba, I think you'll notice when you read the spoilers that the "reveals" didn't effect the game as much as you think when you play.

Well, they screwed driss over. Poor guy. There was a lot of potential for some mindfuck moments and some sneaky play, which pretty much flew out the window once everyone revealed who they were, as well as their win conditions. Oh well, better luck next time

Ah, I must say I'm happy that's done. Good that we won, but I was never really in danger anyways
Anyways, good v1.0 gem. I don't think I like the insane power of Hiro and Isaac, but apart from that it was great fun. Now, back to read how often I was wrong

this way we won.
And I killed 1 and 2/3 of the scum
'twas a great game

Excellent game, mate. I agree with everybody else in that this game has huge potential. Thanks for letting me play - not that I did much.

Yeah, it was a great run. Lots of fun to watch, too!
I think, with a bit of work, it would now be an awesome game. However, I do worry with stuff like that - the repeat of the Culture game just wasn't as fun. Then again, each time you run a game, even with the same set up, you get different outcomes...so it's all good.

Me and Lish had some tough decisions to make in this game. Be interesting to see how others play our roles (Haitian and Noa) in future games. It was mostly a learning process. We had to show a few fronts and keep our options open. Sorry to all those people we screwed over. I was a little disappointed with the recruitment efforts - it was messy on all of the nights. Though you did score with the D'riss capture which won the game in effect - just not for you lads.

Next time I run it, it will be a slightly different setup - with the tweaking that I learned from running this one. There's a lot of ideas that I didn't put in this one, because I didn't want to complicate it too much.

lol
the game has huge potential--imagine what would've happened if I kept my kill on JA for example, with Adam still around to complicate things?
however, as I've noted in the game thread, some roles would have been a lot more fun to play than others.
and the cascade of reveals, while not ruining the game, did a lot to simplify it.
to the extent that I think something should be done to prevent early reveals.
make it unprofitable, for example make a player incur a power loss or something
also, some powers were much more relevant than others.
not to toot my own horn, but in a game where you want to kill off na individual, being a vig makes you one of the inevitable centres of attention.
whereas a player like Nathan or even Ando/Isaac's gf get thrown to the sidelines.
also, part of the fun is the unexpected.
approaching this set-up knowing what to expect makes us play differently
Silencer brought up the Culture game--how many of us older hands can honestly say they approached Mafia 31 the same way we did Mafia 17? knowing what we did about the cult, the fact that there will be no vigs, etc?
Same thing here--would we have played the way we did knowing that Claire can only be killed by Sylar?
[/ long talk (not a rant, b/c I'm not in any way angry)]
overall, sick set-up Gem. now we know why i can never play vig again--because I'll just vig the scum on night 1.
