(a) it's easy to incorporate into your routine for these forums, in that checking that one and only forum's new posts quickly isn't hard to do before you hop on over to the Inn, but doing so for 7 book forums is a bit tedious and you're more likely to 'save it for later';
(b.) if you only have to cover one book forum, then you become master of that novel(la) and you'll know very well what is and isn't a spoiler for that novel(la), whereas being in charge of books 1-6 (for example, no offence Lish), it's harder to remember that, say,
Finally there's
(c.), having 1 particular forum leader for a given novel(la) means that anyone who is uncertain about a spoiler or spam or what-have-you in that forum knows precisely who to PM about it, and won't get an overabundance of replies (or worse, opposite replies) from multiple forum leaders.
Anyways, that's what I think. I'm sure the current plan will work just fine too, I'm just underestimating humanity again...
Well personally I spend more time in the book forums than the inn. When I come online I use the "new posts" function and basically read or check or out all new threads and posts. So I don't find it tedious. I wouldn't mind if we all had a specific few forums as our main responsibility but I think it's better if all us spam/spoiler mods are able to moderate all the book forums. A bit silly if you're only able to moderate MoI, HoC and MT but keep finding new spoilers in BH and RG and can't do anything about it.
