Talking about Crokus.
Will he really be in the Darujistan novel after he took of with Spite to search Apsalar?
Maybe he will be in SW after he found her or is still in search for her.

It's pretty probable that he won't be in the Darujhistan novel. Whether he turns up in Stonewielder or not depends on where Apsalar is, and where Spite is going.

I think his business with Darujhistan was finished in TtH and he really doesn't have any reason to go back, while at the same time he has a new quest to find Apsalar and make babies. I doubt he would appear except in flashbacks.

PRETTY MAJOR DOD SPOILER
I really don't see why people think Hood would have much to do in Darujhistan--we don't really know if the Jhaghut have special ties to the city--iirc from MOI prologue, the last Jaghut on Genabackis were slaughtered soon after the capture of Raest, which was long before the fouinding of the city, and the subsequent emergence of Tyrants.
maybe we'll see some relations back to the First Empire since Torrud Segul = Shield Anvil...
also, I'd liek to see more of Baudin.

I'm still trying to connect all these posts to the topic of the Darujhistan novel...
The action in TtH (after just having finished), seems to leave a lot unsaid. Humble Measure the ironmonger. Picker and Blend, Antsy and Duiker, will Spindle come back from Black Coral with Monkrat? Fisher kel Tath. Studious Lock and his retired Seguleh.
Who can forget our most unforgettable fat red-waistcoated man and his final dance. Will we find out just how connected Kruppe and K'rul really are? Will we see the rise of Barathol's smithy?
Will the reunion between Torvald Nom and Karsa Orlong take place? Can it? if Karsa is fated to kill the Crippled God, then how can we make sure he stays around long enough to complete his vow to Torvald?
What I'd really like to see is Baruk take the Bridgeburners on and make some munitions for them, then have them collect rent on Humble Measure for his anti-Malazan stance. Perhaps if Fiddler makes it home from Kolanse he can finally retire face first into a pitcher of Gredfallan Ale.
Perhaps Rallick Nom and Vorcan will rebuild the Assassin's Guild with solid reliable assassins.
Perhaps the moon will fall from the sky and crush everyone and everything once and for all.

QUOTE (Imperial High Mage Tayschrenn @ Dec 31 2008, 01:11 PM) Yup, convergence coming up, certainly now that Draconus, Hood and Whiskey Jack among others are going to be back (loved the ending of TTH)
is hood actually going to be around? i mean i guess it depends on what/who hood actually is. was he a living jaghut that became lord of death and took on the semblance of death, is he undead now, etc etc. TTH made it seem like hood is just going to fade away (or at least thats what hood might be looking forward too) but then again you have to consider that the Seguleh 2nd was released from Hood's servitude and is now free to roam as a badass undead mother f'er. So maybe Hood is going to be chilling in Darujistan as an undead basass jaghut motherf'er and we'll see some sort of showdown with Raest or others.

Theres always the possibility. It would be pretty cool if there was a raest vs hood showdown, hood lost, and raest became the lord of death.

They tell more of Hood's past and where he ends up in the Crippled God. Read Dust of Dreams and Crippled God for more Insight.

I'm just a bit sad that noone's mentioned Iskaral Pust yet. Easily in my top 5 characters list for these books.
Also, my take on the BBs: Pretty much confirmed from Hedge and multiple other sources (Kalyth, whoever said the "grey riders bit, etc) that they've taken Hood's place as the Lord(s) of Death, wasn't it? Whiskeyjack himself is a sort of double-ascendant due to his Iskar+Song combo.

Here is a short plot synopsis:

Quote
The epic new chapter in the history of Malaz from Steven Erikson's friend and co-creator of this extraordinary imagined world... The tumult of great powers colliding has passed, leaving the city of Darujhistan and its good citizens to get on with their lives of politicking, bickering, trading and above all enjoying the good things it has to offer. However, this peace is illusory because a treasure hunter is about to uncover a hidden crypt, full of sealed vaults and in so doing will set free the most powerful and destructive of the Jaghut tyrant kings...

Also in Darujhistan Novel Title Shenanigans, the German edition lists it as "Throne and Orb".
It's like they've got this merry-go-round of really bad names that they're in love with and can't find something more catchy to stick.
