I lack anything even closely resembling a minor understanding of what is/could be going on and how to proceed further, which is a disgrace in a tdmi 2 game and with 8-9 games under the belt, and seeing how much time I spent yesterday flipping back and forth through the thread. I put it rather eloquently in a pm for spoilerheaven, but basically, I feel rather pathetic and blind :D.

Don't worry, low TMDI doesn't mean the game is easier. On the contrary.

Honestly, mafia is a game of endgames. For now we make cases and point out what we find suspicious, but usually it's when there's about 7-8 players left that the show starts fo'real. Until then, we try to do our best, that's why we make cases still and get the lynches, which also gives us an accumulation of information for when it counts.

DiscoWeasel doesn't like bad mojo on thread. :)

i think thats why i play so aggressive the first few days - the stress of the endgame is too much and its more fun watching from heaven :)

Plus, after fingering the "whole team" of 3-4 players, there's a good chance you have one right and you can spam the SH thread with comments on how you just knew it from the start :)

you mean how i survived on the kudos of spotting you as a don of an opposing team within a few hours and pretty much assigned everyone but the specials to their groups but was cruelly voted off when everyone thought i was against them?? :)

hahaha.

Personnally, I just send numerous PMs to SH while I play with my "suspect list", changing them all the time, then when I die and read the spoiler thread, I just quote the post where the right PM was quoted and go: "AH-HA! I was right!"

I'm getting a bit lost atm, a few of the cases look quite good, The case on morgoth does make sense to me. I cant quite see Lace or Lisheo being scum at this point though

OK, I'm off for a few hours, will be back soon.

I'm not sure how much I'll contribute to the lynch today, like I said it seems day time out is a 5AM for me, i.e. I'll be out for the last 7 hours.

Still, I would be willing to switch to Gem or Lace, if I see that's where my vote is needed at the time where I'll be off

So catching up over the last couple hours.

Gem has hardly inspired with me her defence, but that Vengy thing is quite interesting. I'm not sure I'm around for day end so I might need to put a vote on in the next couple of hours, but I'm looking at those two at the moment. Would like to hear from Vengy though but not sure if he makes it on in the next couple hours.

About Morgy, I was the first to dissent about his day 1 case. And I would do it again, it was shamefully bad, lynching because he sent a message to spoilers?
Fuck off. I found it strange it went so quickly to lynch though, I'm sure there were team evil members on that train.

Also, where's Obdi and The Dude and Baudin? Haven't seen much of either of those 3. Someone staying low?

where do people get this idea that his case is built on message to the spoielr heaven???? my case had absolutely nothing to do with that. i simply asked morgoth today why he posted something if he knew it would make him look scummy, and his response was "not that pm bullshit again"

sadly i am likewise in a timing out when i am asleep situ. so unless someone can come up with a case i will leave mine on morgo and resign myself to a day without a lynch.

Ok here is my defense. I attacked Lace not for removing his vote on Alt after the lynch but for removing a worthless vote on Morgy after a lynch on another person had been finished. Here is my thoughts leading up to Alt being lynched. I voted for him because we have to lynch. Any thoughts to the contrary are worthless. It was down to the wire there seemed to be an agreement on Alt. However after I voted I thought that it was strange that absolutely nobody was defending him at all. So I started to have second thoughts. Dibs told me that if was the direction that I was thinking I should remove my vote. I wasn't totally sure of the vote count at that point so I went ahead and removed it. It was to late. I didn't know that Alt would come up innocent before the CF. But since no one defended him I thought that he probably would. Show me a day one lynch were the person wasn't innocent. I don't think that it has ever happened. I will not be moving my vote on Lace. He is scum and deserves to be lynched. The fact that some people managed to get a train off of him screams to me that he is scum.

View PostVengeance, on Oct 17 2008, 12:58 PM, said:

Although I seriously doubt that Alt is Scum....After all nobody at all has defended him.

So all that this lynch will give us is a train to look at. Since it is going to be a speed train here at the end. Those of you who have pushed this along are going to be under a lot of suspicion. I am not changing my vote just pointing out what tomorrow will bring.

I am suspicious of Alt too. However, this swing in votes is a little questionable. What is it based on? (I am a nab)

Seems to me if he is innocent, those integral people planting their seeds will be getting themselves dragged through the mire tomorrow. Exciting.

The swing in votes is mainly based on the amount of time that is remaining in the day. Also the fact that Alt hasn't been on to knock the train off of himself. In all likely hood he is an innocent, just because of the amount of people playing and the fact that killers are next to impossible to get on the first day.

Edit: Day one lynches are 99% of the time totally baseless. They usually boil down to the fact that someone has to go and someone was a little to edgy early on in the day or like Alt was looking to jump on to a train a little to much.

i too will change my vote to alt, theres something sneaky going on there and that boyo was well sneaky in the last game.

i would prefer morgoth though, as i think he is guilty and the dude is partnered or symping him.

My thoughts too.

I might be new, but if you think I am being that obvious, this early, you are crazy.

i call WIFOM, and you may have just been unfortunate enough to be caught up in morgoths play, which can be sympish intentionally as there are times when appearing to symp people is a viable strategy in a game, but i dont think it works in altless.

@veng - you should remove your vote then, if you dont agree with the vote then dont vote. It aint the end of the world not getting a lynch, but with a possible four evils in play and sides obviously drawing up between morgo and alt its actually quite useful in my eyes to see where it goes. if we dont get a lynch we will probably debate the same two players tomorrow.

I believe that it is to late but you are right. So if it isn't to late I will

Remove vote

I recall the case on Vengy from day 1 but I didn't think there was that much to it, he's keeping a fairly clean nose. Seemed pretty insistent on voting Lace right from Day 2 start. Was there anything else to it? I'd be interested in at least looking at a case on him. I didn't focus on him too much in the reread I confess.

Look at Venge's posts during the lynch on Alt146. He knew Alt would come out inno before the CF was posted. Now who has this kind of info?

Yeah. But, he then did, playwise, a rather weird thing by declaring his vote would never leave Lacedaemonian. It's definately unwanted attention you're calling down upon yourself when and if you are a killer.

EDIT: not to mention, if you're a symp, you want your hands/vote free instead of having them tied down like this.

No I was the FM in the last game. :)

It doesn't have to be someone who voted for Morgy it could be anyone who was putting pressure on him. What got me suspicious was the fact that he waited till after the lynch to remove his vote. Then Dibs got confused about who lace was voting for.

Hmmm...venge. You also removed your vote after the lynch, it seemed to me a feeble attempt at pretending you didnt actually want to lynch alt146, but "oops i think its too late what a pity"

What i also noticed is that you seemed to say that you dont agree with lynching alt, yet you still placed your vote, i think you knew full well that alt was innocent, and you were laying the groundwork to say later on "i told you he was inno" in order to soften the blow later on. I think dibs spotted this and asked you why you were still voting for alt if you felt this way, then you removed your vote, but it was too late. Conveniently too late if you ask me.
Classic killer moves

View Postdktorode, on Oct 20 2008, 05:52 AM, said:

As it stands i think we have definite "sides" here. We have people that dont like morgoth, the people who seem to be symping him by pushing the train elsewere and then the fence sitters.
It is very interesting how the cases and votes against morgoth have seemed to have been blocked and people have been pushing/pushed to look elsewhere.
Lace has, to me at least, not been showing any signs of being a killer. But could very well be a symp stirring the pot.
He is new...so i dont know, i just dont see a new player purposefully stepping on peoples toes if he were a killer, his partner would have told him off thread to shut up long time ago. So i wont be voting for him today i dont think.

Now we have vengeance, seeming to know that alt146 will turn up inno, yet still voting for him and taking part in getting the lynch. If he didnt like the lynch then why the hell vote? Oh and lets not forget the "removal" of his vote which was oh ever so slightly too late. And yet he has the gall to call someone else out on doing what he himself has also done? He also has ignored the case on morgoth and attacks the person voting morgoth.

I wouldn't discount Venge and morgy both being scum to be honest.
I can see gem and tapper and lisheo all as potential symps.

So...to cut a long story short, i would like to lynch either vengeance or morgoth today.
I'll start my hungover monday with

Vote Venge

How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.
Hinter - Vengy - DIE. I trusted you you bastard!!!!!!!
