It's St. Paddy's day right? Wrong...well sort of. Every few years when St. Paddy's falls on a weekend we have to go out that day to celebrate a friends birthday. This was one of those years, and the friend likes to go to the skankiest, dirtiest club in Toronto, where the music is 3 times louder than it should be, and the majority of people there just want to be slimey idiots. It is, a microcosm of the very WORST that a "club" has to offer. $7 tiny beers (that taste like ass) and everybody shoving by you and then mouthing off if you didn't fuck off out of their way fast enough...

Yeah, that was my night.

...oh and I'm sober as a priest on Sunday because I'm not spending craploads of money on shitty beer in a place I loathe.

Woo...bloody...hoo.

2 words when you go to places like that QT

hip flasks

saves you a fortune and you dont have to shell out on expensive vodka as its only there to do the job as you hate where you are anyway. Not that I know anyone who buys expensive vodka for the taste

Groove- No hangover but little sleep. Work was a fucker

Came home, still sick from a bad hangover. I was intending on flaking out on my bed for the rest of the day, but found that someone had taken the liberty of opening up all my windows, and leavign them that way all week...
So the carpet is now growing mold, and the floor is one big puddle. (the rain)
It wouldn't irritate me as much if this wasn't the second time my step-dad has done this...

That's terrible! How do you even go about fixing that? Mold is insidious.

It is! I had a mold problem under my bathroom sink a few years ago (leaky pipe) and it took forever to get rid of it. I used bleach, lots and lots of bleach. I don't know if that's what I should have done but I'm still alive and not ill...as far as I know.

Not sure how to sort out mold in carpet, but on tiles I've heard that clove oil works wonders. Which is why my mum's bathroom always smells like Christmas :wallbash:

Water and dish detergent is all you need to kill mold. Anything more is overkill.

On carpet, you'll probably have to get it professionally cleaned.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Loki: I can't.

ME3: Yes, you can.

Loki: No. I can't. I really need to finish my assignment.

ME3: The Galaxy needs you.

Loki: It's due tonight!

ME3: There won't be a tonight if the Reaper's win!

Loki:.....True. Maybe I could save the Galaxy and then do my assignment. I'm sure the marker will understand if it's a little late....

ME3: They'll be greatful that you saved them.

Loki:........I guess....

Matador: Would you stop holding a conversation between yourself and yourself posing as your copy of ME3?

ME3: What's his problem?

Loki: He still hasn't finished the game XD

Matador: ASSIGNMENT!

Loki: Gees, pushy for a guy who isn't even here. Why'd you have to go be my voice of reason?

I can't get the bloody post on someones profile to work.

It says if I don't know how to use it, refer to the help section. I find it's tone very condescending. Don't be messing with my Groove forum help!

What forum skin are you using? If it's not the default, it may not work. :wallbash:

That feel when you drink your last beer, and no shops are open to buy more. And it's a work day tomorrow, so maybe old mate Sailor Jerry isn't a good idea :wallbash:

Had to get into town to visit the bloody job centre today, got to my bus stop 10 mins early, bus was 15 mins late, five minutes late for my 11:10am appointment so I had to come back at 4:20pm, the bastards. AND I'm feeling pretty ill and rubbish today. Fucking wonderful.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Well, my cat has been in the new place for about a week on her own and while a little skittish she seemed okay.

Last night the dog came home from being away at the cottage with the grandparents.

He wanted to play.

She wanted him dead. My cat hissed furiously at him, growled, spat and was generally a bitch to him. So we put her in the office (where her litter is) and she spent all night picking at the door and actually pulled off HER GLUED ON Soft Paws...wtf?! I am so stressed out after only one day. She hates being closed into a room, but we can't let them interact normally as she'll just hide under the bed or something...and I can't have her biting the dog either...

So, onto plan B. They (apparently) make pet gates that have small doors in them, this way the cat can have her "safe" room from the dogs attention, but doesn't feel cooped up as she can come and go as she pleases...I hope it works to help them get used to one another...and it's not exactly cheap either at about $100 including tax...but I suppose that is better than either one injuring the other and having to pay the vet bill (which would be much higher).

Has anyone else ever introduced cats and dogs? This is mega stressful for me. My cat has always been skittish, and kind of bitchy. The dog, meanwhile (although being Alpha) is generally fun loving and playful.

Age is a big factor. Introducing older animals can be near impossible. Having a playful dog makes it even worse. Usually in these cases it's a matter of time. Eventually they accept each others presence. In the meantime it's usual hell. Good luck with it.

I've introduced a kitten to a dog, but never an older cat.

Definitely more important to have a chill dog than anything. My uncle's cat will only interact with one of his dogs, the big, fat, sleepy, old Bernese. The terrier and the whippet? Mortal fucking enemies.

I boiught an expensive metal gate for the room where her food and litter are, and it has a little pet door for her that hopefully the dog cannot get through (I may have to DIY it to make it a bit smaller) so she has a safe haven. Installed it last night and since the dog wasn't around I attempted to "spook" her into the room. So I pretended I was the dog and chased her...she went everywhere but the room. LOL Eventually I put her in there and she stayed in there to be away from mean old me...so my HOPE is that she will now see it as safe haven from the dog, but who knows. I cross my fingers.

What's messing with my groove is that whenever it is particularly slow at my office my father begins to naysay about the company and talk about shit like "It might go under" or "corporate might chop heads" ect. and it put me in a significantly foul fucking mood.
