Got My gf, her sister and a friend to watch DRIVE, and they all proceeded to bitch about how it didn't have a lot of dialogue and that it was crappy. That fine, dislike the movie all you like...it's not for everyone.

...but they proceed to sit in the other room and make fun of it for like ten minutes after the fact "What do you want to watch next? Something with dialogue, something that's not crappy?"

It just rubs me the wrong way when people harp on and on about something they don't like. Like fuck off, I get you didn't like it, thanks for watching, but shut the hell up now.

This is why you should only watch movies with dogs. And cats, if you're that type of person.

Have you been drinking enough water? You may be a little dehydrated. Alternatively, have you eaten today?

Organised with my friends to meet up at uni before heading off to Tropfest tonight. I took the bus in to uni, and it wasn't till twenty minutes after we were supposed to meet that finally someone answers their phone and informs me that they had all decided to bail on going because the weather was a bit dicey. Gee, thanks for telling me guys. Oh, since the last bus has already gone, would one of you mind picking me up? Oh, you can't because you've been drinking?

Goddammit.

That's just downright fucking inconsiderate. Don't let them get away with it - call them a pack of selfish fuckheads who owe you the cost of a cab home (or whatever it cost you), and dinner and a few drinks for fucking up your evening. Any person with even a ghost of a conscience will at least apologise and attempt some sort of appropriate restitution. Trouble is, I think you'll get bupkuss from this lot, as they're the type to change plans at the last minute without bothering to inform you ...

Both birthdays are dudes, and I am not gay. I will need no such thread.

Pick the one with better booze/more attractive sisters. The other will understand, surely. Get him something nice though, as a consolation.

Stripper in a cake for the bloke you're not going to visit. I doubt he'll miss you.

Interesting turn of events on that note-- the friend who's Bday I went to came out to me as gay. So a stripper would probably have been REALLY out of taste.

Another Sunday breakfast time gloriously ruined by the family. I'm hungry, damn it, but have to wait till they get out of the kitchen again :p

Yeah don't worry, they volunteered to pay my cab fare, they're actually an awesome bunch of people (most of the time :p ). In all fairness, I told them this morning I couldn't go after all and then only told one of them I could go after all about an hour before we were supposed to meet, so it's partly my fault as well. All sorted now though, so no need to dwell, shit happens.

Ugh, please ignore drunken posting last night about movie watching issues. Evidently Scott gets oversensitive when he mixes red wine and beer. Today I simply feel dumb for reacting in such a way.

Oh lordy lord I am actually LoLing right now. The mental image of you at a rave, then passing out on the floor, then stumbling around with no glasses. Hahhhh,

I didnt pass out drunk I was really tired and sat down and fell asleep. Ive been doing it alot lately because im up earlier. Had to be up early for work then alot of travelling etc. Then was drinking guiness all day which is very heavy on the old stomach. Had about 10-11 pints of it because I found a place that did half price guiness so was only 1.70 a pint. Then bought some more guiness, in can form, and drank the 8 of them because they search you for drugs/knives etc at the warehouse so I couldnt sneak them in. Was dancing etc having a great time went outside to the smokin area (which is essentially outside as this warehouse was in the middle of nowhere) got a burger, sat down to eat it and decided to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzz's.

I was actually awoken went back to the front of the gig and fell asleep on the barriers that seperate the crowd from the stage :p. Next thing I remember is waking up on a couch with a load of bouncers around me asking me what id taken, to which I replied 'nothing mate im just shattered and pissed' which amused them so they said fair enough but we cant let you back in. I never take my glasses out with me as 1) I dont want to lose them like my I lose my phone and 2) people punch me in the face alot and its expensive for new glasses.

Anyway Im back now after epic travelling today, gonna curl up and finish my OST reread. I havnt done anything that qualifies me for a shame hangover (other than getting thrown out and losing my phone) so im counting it as a win :p

I have to ask. Why the hell do you get punched in the face a lot?
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.
