All my ME2 saves are gone....I have no idea what happened....600 hours of gameplay....gone.....

Why are there size labels on the clothes, if the size still varies extremly? I mean, why bother at all with so many different sizes, if we can just put three or four sizes all into one anyway? :p

Edit - And the other half is watching the final episodes of Lost. Jesus H. Christ, it's tedious! Constant alarming music when nothing has happened. It's so annoying when a series that starts so well (I watched the first 1 1/2 series) descends into utter tripe.

I love the rain but roads and shopping centre carparks are starting to flood. This doesn't install me with a sense of calm given that I now live in Ipswich...Maybe it's time for the rain to stop. Now to find the switch......

I've been drydocking Tarquin for the past few days because I noticed he had some redness around his legs. I contacted my vet and described all his symptoms and they said to drydock him and that it didn't sound like anything to be too concerned about and gave me an appointment a week away to attend. I called them back a day or so later because I just didn't feel comfortable with what I was told and explained that he now had a dark mark on his leg. They said it's probably just a cut from being allowed to wander the house. Still not satisfied I called around and managed to find the only other vet that deals with turtles in all of the greater Brisbane area and it just so happens he is less then a ten minute drive from place. I called and described Tarquin's symptoms and he said to bring him in ASAP.

Turns out he has blood poisoning and moderate shellrot and now there is a good chance he won't survive. The new vet said that even given the original symptoms I first contacted the other vet with I should have been told to bring him straight in. Because he has such a healthy shell to begin with the signs of shellrot are hard to see but they are diffenately there. The vet said that it's unlikely anyone would have noticed it sooner then now and the only reason I did probably was due to the fact that I hadn't had them in my posession for such a long time that I was overly vigilant to their condition. Now I have to give him an injection every three days, and iodine bath every day and just cross my fingers and hope for the best. I feel like the worse pet owner ever.

Oh, and optimal body temperature for my turtle is 26 degrees NOT 24 degress like my old vet told me (with turtles such a small difference in temperature is actual very large) and Tarquin is a GIRL not a boy! How can you justify calling yourself a reptile expert when you can't even tell if they are male or female??? Stupid goddamn quack vet!!!!

Do you know how hard it is to sex certain animals?

Yes, that sounds dirty, but I'm talking about identifying the sexual characteristics of animals like baby chickens, certain reptiles and fishes. It is so hard that the training for it can't actually be explained. You just stand there and observe while someone more experienced than you makes the call and eventually you pick up enough details, hunches and old wives' tales to be able to do it yourself.

Given that the vet claims to be an expert on turtle husbandry etc and the fact that the new vet explained how you tell the difference and now that I know I'm pretty sure I could tell my 12 year old sister how to tell the difference and she could take one look at Tarquin and tell she is a girl. So while it is hard to tell the sex of some reptiles, Australian short-necked turtles rank amongst the easiest of reptiles to sex (tell the sex of, you dirty people!).

If I'm paying someone $160 for the consultation alone I expect them to be able to tell me, correctly, if my turtle is male or female.
