Grandfather's in the hospital.
Was shaking, had really low blood pressure. Had a heart attack, which surprised nobody, but the REASON surprised everyone.
He had a tiny, ~3 mm cut on his leg, which proceeded to get infected.
Which he did nothing about for 3 WEEKS. Basically courting gangrene and sepsis. The doctor recommended that they amputate his leg just to be safe - but he, being a man stubborn enough to live for 3 weeks with an infectedly painful leg, obviously refused.
So now he's in the hospital taking 3 courses of antibiotics and keeping his fingers crossed.

Where the hell is everybody these days? The board is less busy than it has been in recent times. What happened? Did everybody go off and live their proper lives or sumthin'?

I've always been doubting and double-guessing my choices, but I could really, really do without that right now. The more I think about stuff, the worse the decision I make turns out to be. Wish I wasn't thinking that much, but lately there's been scarcely anything else on my mind.

@Quick - I'm still around, but amazingly with all the free time between uni year's I'm actually busier than ever for some reason. Work, sure, but that's not enough to account. :S
Guess some people are reading OST, others are waiting to get OST, and still others are moving on, perhaps?

Matador does this - the more he thinks something over the more likely he is to make the wrong decision. I keep telling him to just act on his initail feeling/thought/reaction and have more faith in his instincts then his intellect but he even over thinks that. Funnily, he never over thinks things regarding his job and medicine. I think it is a confidence thing - he is confident in his abilities as a doctor so he just goes with what he knows - in other aeras of life he is less confident and so he worries that he'll get things wrong and then overthinks things to the point that I reckon he loses all direction. Just try going with your instincts for awhile, G-man, and see what happens.

Got caught like 15 minutes from any cover in a giant lightening storm.. and didnt have my umbrella.. and had a bag full of electronics.
It was the worst possible spot on my walk home and then my phone died so i couldnt call for a lift... after i got to cover and started to drip dry and ring out my shirt i got a call off to a friend but he had to first organise a car to come pick me up... it was a very kak 40 minutes.
At least it wasnt cold though... prob 23 degrees and the run for cover helped

So - update on my G-father. Messing with my groove.
Updated - he's not going to have his leg amputated, BUT he's not going to be able to walk for the next 5 weeks.
Which means that everyone in the family is going to be taking turns helping him to the bathroom everyday.
I'm slated for Fridays. That messes with my groove intensely.
