I have actually BEEN in a very similar situation...and I was totally your age at the time! LOL!

Here's what happened. Girl #1 (sexy burnette) is sitting on a swing in the park by my house. My friend thinks she's hot and so we walk up to her and he starts chatting her up. I just patiently sit and look at my feet occasionally waiting for him to pick her up. a Bit later he gets her phone number, and off we go. He talks about her all the way to his place and we sit in his room chatting about it. I mention, if he gets together with her he should see if she's got a friend for me. He calls a day or so later and sets up a joint hang out at the mall, and she's bringing her friend (Girl #2). So we trundle off to the mall and meet up with them. Girl #2 is sexy blonde with legs that go all the way up. I'm impressed and think, okay great a girl for me too! My friend goes to the washroom and Girl #1 takes the opportunity to take me aside to the mall doors for a chat. I naturally think I am going to get the "My friend likes you" or "my friend doesn't like you" chat. Instead Girl #1 (who I didn't pay too much attention to because my friend liked her other than noticing her general hotness) says to me (with a deadpan face) "Don't you like me?". Taken COMPLETELY aback I kind of stare at her and think...wtf?!....but I say, "I hadn't really thought about it" and she leans up kisses my neck and says "Why don't you think about it." and then winks and walks off back to the food court. At which point I decide the best thing to do is tell my buddy what happened (in private of course), and tell him he ought to go for the sexy blonde instead. He doesn't like it and when they both come back to hang out at his pool house he's grumpy the whole time. Partially because Girl #2 is paying him no attention either. It turns out Girl # 2 is pissed cause she thought she was going to be hanging out with me...and doesn't like my buddy as a second prospect...so after they go home he has a bit of a shit on me and I say it's not my fault ect. ect. I tell him Girl #2 might warm up to things in a few days. What does he do? he convinces Girl #2 to go after me anyways and snake me away from Girl #1 (who I went on one date with at that point)...which she does by calling me and telling me Girl #1 doesn't want to see me anymore but was too shy to call me herself. Girl #2 then comes over to comfort me and we make out...Thinking he was going to get Girl #1 after that was a mistake on my friends' part as she wanted nothing to do with him and told him she never did...and then Girl #1 finds out that I've been messing around with Girl #2 and freaks out....doesn't believe me when I tell her the story Girl #2 told me...and off she goes.

Long story short...is...if Girl with Army boyfriend likes you enough, she might do ANYTHING to make sure you don't get Girl #2....I say you just go for Girl #2...she's the one you like and this other girl is already involved. Go with your gut.

As an epilogue to my story. Years later I've not seen or heard of Girl #1, but Girl #2 was so extraordinarily hot and seductive that I succumbed to her twice more (whilst dating other people and ending those relationships)...and to this day she is hotter than the sun, and still my friend...but I know she's bad news in the relationship dept. as she's all about the game.

In other news, my living room is 27 degrees at 22.30 pm. tomorrow will be even hotter and it is frowned upon to come to work in shorts so I'll be sweating in jeans and a t-shirt for most of the day.

I think it's because people start thinking like this opportunity right here is the be all end all of opportunities. That false urgency pushes people into doing things they normally wouldn't.

I've heard that "best friend" thing before from women (most recently from my ladyfriend). She has this idea that you're supposed to be married (or the non-"official" equivalent) to your best friend.

I think that's wrong: you're supposed to be with your best life partner (or partners - whatever floats your boat). Your best friend is often an entirely different concept and person than your best life partner. The women I've heard this from do not understand that.

Of course, I've not told these thoughts to her and I'll gently evade any serious discussion of such concepts in order to minimize the unnecessary fights.

The sentence I created in my head subconciously was in bright Illuyankas colors, as doing your best friend is a really bad idea, I think :p

badly messing my groove is whats going on in my home (Syria) and that i'm not there to participate. It pains me to see all these events unfolding, I mean we all knew it was a bad regime but no one expected such violence and bloodshed. And while I would be very glad to see the Assad regime go down I fear for what might happen next and the chaos that would be unleashed :p ...

I was 22 the other day went out for my birthday. Woke up on a doorstep the next morning around 8ish got home with no memory of the night before which usually means Ive done something and my brain denies it. It turns out I was being in idiot and some guy turned round and laid me out with a punch and I went down. I was so drunk (and didnt have a mark on face etc)that I didnt remember this. Might be time to give up drinking again for a while now that unis over.

Also results day tomorrow. Want a first but gonna end up with a 2.1.

I was only that drunk because it was my birthday but I might give it up for a while for financial reasons
