A great week, and today's the start of my Easter break... I have cake, company, good reading, good movies, lots to busy myself with... and just the other day I returned to the fantasy world I'd been messing with since grade-school. It was brilliant, felt like coming home--and, for the first time in MONTHS, I was coming up with new ideas and fixing old ones...
... and then, today, I went into town and picked up some new fantasy. Been discovering a lot of great new stuff lately, and I was very excited about my latest haul.
Among the catch,
A Shadow in Summer. I looked it up upon returning home. It's a book featuring city-states that are the remnants of an ancient and powerful empire; sorcerors known as "poets", who work their magic with the help of beings that are (apparently!) ideas given physical form, or (perhaps!) aspects of the sorcerors psyche given form, or (perhaps?) gods of some sort...
What's the big deal? Why'm I posting in this thread??
Well, it reminds me too much of my own ideas

It's not as if I expect to ever publish a fantasy-book, but still... :'(
but I guess it'll be a great read
