Fucking hell.
So sorry Maark.
Nothing we can say is adequate, but that really fucking sucks.

Oh gosh -- I cannot believe it. I echo there aren't words to express it truly. My deepest condolences to you and all her loved ones.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Ai customer service puts my teeth on edge. I hate it so much!
However recently I went to a Wendy’s drive through for the first time in my life. The ai drive through didn’t ask me for my order, it began with do I want combo a or combo b added to my order.
This combined 2 things I hate. Ai customer service and overly aggressive marketing. Disgusting.
I was recently thinking how America is overly predatory on the price increases. Restaurants push appetizers, drinks, cocktails, desserts. They also seem to want me to sit down, eat and get the fuck out. It’s only one example but the commercialization of everything is reaching in sane levels. Half the point of going to a restaurant is to enjoy some conversation. Don’t rush me.

Maark, I'm so sorry! It is truly horrific to have someone go so quickly and so unexpectedly. I'm thinking of you and her.

Devastated to say that Sarah passed away at 13:30 today.
She'd been going for a CT scan to see if there was any blood clot, went into arrest en route and never woke up despite best efforts of the hospital. She was 37.
I am bereft and not likely to be around much. She was my entire world and it's 66 million BC. This has hit like a fucking asteroid.

Had my first experience of having to tell a manager someone's not up to the job I'm training them to do.
Said person was given to me as a bit of a last chance saloon by the sounds of it, having spent nearly a year with a colleague (who is the person who trained me when I started, by coincidence). Sounds like manager was absolutely expecting me to come back with the feedback I did, and I'm confident I've been fair and tried everything reasonable, but it still feels quite rough because he's going to lose his job. I think ultimately it'll be the right thing for him to find something he's more suited to, but you don't ever like to think of people being sacked really.

We get the coroner's report tomorrow.
I am desperately hoping it comes back and says this was not avoidable. I am also aware that if the reverse is true the coroner will push on with a concern irrespective of me. I just hope it doesn't come to that.
I miss her. It's like being Telorast with no Curdle.

I had three pulmonary embolisms in 2013 spin up to my lungs from a calf injury sustained during sports. They collapsed part of my lungs and landed me in the hospital for a week.
There wasn't anything I could have done differently. If things had broken in a different way inside, I might have died.
I don't know what answers the coroner's report will bring, but I am glad you are sharing with us the immense grief and the loneliness.
I'm very glad you had your Curdle and you did everything you could to create a good life for the two of you. That's something we forumites could easily understand and cheer on.

I actually ran a budget the other day, I can support myself in situ on my salary and it actually gets comfortable once the life insurance pays out and covers mortgage. I do appreciate the offer though - I've had a lot of people reach out like that.
Meeting funeral director on Friday as well, so that's gonna be a shitter. I'm not 40 yet. I shouldn't be needing to do this.

Yeah came in today. COD was a pulmonary embolism secondary to a deep vein thrombosis.
There's two questions we now need answered:
Why was she pulled off of blood thinners when the cast came off and she went partial weight bearing?
And then when she went into hospital the Monday before she passed why did she not get scanned for a blood clot?
Coroner hasn opened an investigation. Not an inquest just yet. But I'm looking at 6-8 months to get proper answers for her.

One of my roles in my previous job was a corners officer (like a liaison for the police) and these things do take time but I imagine an inquest will be ordered if nothing else because she was young.
