...and from a place I have eaten at and loved for yearses.

Just FYI, but most food poisoning takes between 18 and 24 hours to hit, so it might not be that place you love, but what you had the meal or two before that.

That’s not actually accurate, can be as little as 2 hours depending on what type. Anyrate the timing and other victims lines up for the one place.

Woke up this morning with a semblance of sore throat.

Scarfing down a ton of extra-strength Halls and tea.

Ugh, Halls is candy man. That won't help you.

I'd go with Fishermans friend, and oil of Oregano.

Tomorrow is a public holiday. Which should be cause to celebrate and it was. However work just informed us they will be repairing the power system and generators tomorrow so their will be no power. Every experiment I was gonna do today requires an overnight step. So I was gonna come in for like an hour tomorrow to finish and then go home. Now I cant get any work done (unless I choose to come in to work tomorrow at like 5 am which I refuse to do). So now I am sitting at my desk with nothing to do but weight for home time.

Its depressing since my stuff is finally working and I am actually keen to work on it.

Edit - Also the forum is very quite which is contributing the boredom

Extra-strength (the black stuff) does provide some relief.

But mostly it's about the chamomile tea.

I have found Cinnamon and ginger tea to be quite effective

Vodka.

Either it helps your throat, or it just helps. Win win win.

Listen to Uncle Kazooie. Don't go the hardcore chemical route - i.e. Halls or other "medicines" heavy on the synthetic/druggy nonsense unless you have to. Start out with the natural and mild stuff and then work your way up to the toxic throat shredding relief.

So with that said, start with Horehound. Hipster relief and it may just inspire you to start your own artisanal candy relief hobby.

Alternately go into a nearby field, grab up a few handfuls of whatever is around and just chew on it while thinking organically ironic / ironically organic thoughts.

Yeah, it's SUPER scary. Hopefully everyone is doing their best to keep safe.

You haven't had one of these sickos since Kazinsky. Serial bombers are rare AF.

Don't worry, folks. The perp is assumed to be, uhhh let's say, not swarthy in complexion. Thus it is NOT terrorism. I repeat, NOT terrorism.

Late game last night aftr doing almost nothing physical all week due to a cold.

Twinged my low back somehow. sitting is okay, but getting up after sitting for a bit is annoying, as it takes a few steps before the discomfort settles down.

Sigh, I foresee a lot of stretch breaks at work today...

Naps are painful, b/c then you have to get up and stretch again.
