How. The fuck. Did they miss all of that?

Was the intake head absent the day they taught medicine at med school?

Mum's husband took a tumble down the stairs in the early part of Sunday morning - she found him KO'd at the bottom near the door. Bad in itself, but the A&E he was taken to missed:

a) severe thumb fracture with tendon damage
:p thoracic fractures
c) fractured skull with associated brain bleeds

Suffice it to say I'm a little narked off at them. Thankfully he still has his faculties and is trying to laugh it off, so that's something.

You should look at having an OT in and see if there is anything that could be done to prevent future fall. How old is he? Does he fall often?

Yah it's weird here too. What I wouldn't give to see scientists finally get off their lazy butts and try to actually find out why the weather's so wacky lately. I mean a little warning woulda been nice!

Fuck knows but my mum is a former ICU/CCU nurse and currently works in Care Coordination and being a 5' midget she has a 5' midget temper. Heads gon' roll.

He's only about 55-58 or somewhere around there. It sounds like it may have been a sleepwalking episode, so suffice it to say me and my sister (who is about to become an A&E nurse) had both said: "child stair gate".

Hey, he's not too bad. So we can rib him a little. Just not the broken one.

It's totally Cobra's weather dominator, but don't worry (worry), GI Joe is there!

Not sure if this is making me happy or messing with my groove but four moves, two degrees and far too many years later I return to the forums and have to start getting a grip on who's who again (both in the books and on the forum). Living in the UK clearly messed me up :p

The only one that's hard to keep track of is Sombra, now Sudoku (as worry said) or something.

My asthma has kicked in big time. Inhaler is only a moderate relief. Woke up this morning more tired than when i went to bed. Really annoying.

Fucking pissed with my wife. She is always looking for the deal, using a credit card deal to try and get cash back promotion or a newspaper subscription to get a certain set of coupons. This is all well and good, but she is a goddamn scatter brain, and like today, cleaning up getting ready to travel, I find a late notice. Couple hundred dollars of failed payments, penalties, late fees, and interest on one of her many credit cards.

It would help she was on top of these credit cards (or the mail, which she grabs, and leaves somewhere to be found months later like on the floor of the car), but she is not on top of it; and so I get to find the uncancelled subscriptions and credit cards without on-time payments.

And today, her comment was, we need to simplify.

NOOOO FUCKING DUH WOMAN!!!!

It's moments like this that make me happy divorce is immanent. It's not like all this shit is new, and it's not like she is going to change, ever, despite my best efforts.

But on Christmas (a semi-crappy one at that).... FFS.

Discovering that my over use of Ambien and Ativan to get a solid night's sleep is much, much farther to the "addiction" side of the scale than I thought it was. I'm pushing 100 hour awake mark because I've been out of both.

The flooding devestation in our area. Our village has been very lucky and has gotten away relatively unscathed, but the surrounding villages closer to open water and York itself are terrible - and it gets worse the further into the north of England you get. So many people have lost houses and businesses, it's awful.

That's the centre of York at the moment....
