Ha. I have doctor's permission to drink beer!!
I've got some sort of constriction in my throat and I've been puking up about 90% of what I've been eating for the last couple of months. I discovered last week that beer helps me keep food down. The ENT today told me that was because the alcohol partially paralyzes the stomach and keeps it from spasming.
Tomorrow I get to do a Barium swallow and a couple of other things. No endoscope though thankfully; I hate those.
Hehehe. I puked all their Barium back up before leaving the office. From what I could see of the screen and what the radiologist told me, the hole where the esophagus meets stomach is blocked off. Possibly scar tissue from GERD or from a prior surgery.
I guess I can stop googling 'esophogeal tumor' now.
Groove messing part of that is Barium really does not repeat well.
I had problems with puking as well few years ago. Though not that bad.
Ive been on gastroscopy aswell, also they put another tubes through my nose that I had there for a day I guess.
I actually dont remember details much, but it turned out there were some problems with GERD, maybe scar too, maybe not. Anyway they also found out my stomach is weirdly crooked, which means hes not fully accesible so its capacity is lower than it should be.
Anyway back to the GERD, they prescribed me med called Ranisan, it's active subtance is
Ranitidine. I used it regularly for some time and it got way better. I still use that time to time when I dont feel good and usually it helps me.
Your problem seems to be more complicated than that, but it might temporary help you atleast to eat your dinner if nothing else.
