I've been looking at some of these articles coming out after the whole Elliot Rodger misogyny murder spree and one of them had a link to a tweet, with a picture of a poll.

I don't remember the last time I was this disgusted. Literally every single one of those numbers should be 0%. Fuck this terrible earth.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I am truly utterly sick of home and everything and especially everyone in it.

I realise this is a bad thing to say, but it's the NICEST thing I have to say.

To allay your fears a little bit go to the site mentioned, where you can see more information.
http://www.fearus.or...h.oohjviyw.dpbs

As usual the actual data is less exciting than the twitter post makes out, the data seems to have been skewed to be more appalling than it really was.
Makes the whole thing less worrying too.

I think that whenever something unexplained or 'unclear' happens, the media just labels it as 'mental health problems'. It really fucks me off, my lady was deeply depressed when I met her but it didn't set in until a few months later, I stuck by her and now life is the best it has ever been. I understand and have been part of mental health issues so when it gets thrown about it fuckin annoys me.

The other 'mental health' related issue that pisses me off, is the labelling of EVERYTHING. When I was younger (i am currently 26) if you were a little bastard you got a slapped leg, a telling off, and grounded with no TV (and later videogames when they appeared in my life). Now kids are labelled with a million excuses to be pricks and do as they please like getting labelled as having ADHD (i think thats it) when really they just don't pay attention because they don't give a shit and want to do as they please. Really gets on my nerves, stop giving all these labels to kids that give them reasons to act up and not try at school. My friend is genuinely dyslexic, his spelling is questionnable but sometimes he replaces words with others by accident or just can't think of a word. But the dude is super clever and smashed his degree and did all the horrible acedemic subjects at college that I did, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and he did great. He did great because he tried, and I didn't find out he was dyslexic until years later. BECAUSE HE DIDN'T USE IT AS AN EXCUSE. I think with everybody who spells a single word being called dyslexic is just stupid and its breeding the new generation of kids as lazy or excuse making. Sorry rant over!

That awesome (sarcasm I summon thee) rant about how kids are now lazy or excuse making pricks messes with my groove. It seems my own generations (Generation Y or whatever the fuck they call us) and the next generation after me are constantly getting shitted on for no other reason than they exist (as it goes I suppose). But really let's not look at the any other underlining problems kids might be having and go with the good ol' 'they don't give a shit and are JUST FUCKING WILD, MAN! ANIMALS, FUCKING ANIMALS!'. Then follow that up with anecdotal example of a hard-working person with a disorder as THE example to end all other fucking examples because that's how you really solve problems, with very specific examples cherry picked from the bunch. I agree that stuff like ADHD is over-diagnosed, but let's not pretend like school is the perfect play for learning (more so in the States than here in Canada). Classes are overcrowded, teachers are underpaid (which is going to get worse before it gets better I think), and kids are overlooked.

But, you know what we should just hit them and yell at them (worked for me, I turned into the asshole my Dad always wanted me to be! Complete with crippling interpersonal skills and bouts of depression! 10 out 10, would go through again!) until they straighten up and pay attention to that very important history lesson about how white men are greatest thing in the world, or the very important English lesson of how to write an essay that is both wrong and useless. Or we could put 40 kids in a single room and explain to them complex physic concepts by an underpaid and overworked teacher who simply can't attend to the needs of every student and when they fail because they simply didn't get it (which happens despite the effort that goes in), we can take away things they might be passionate about (we won't ask of course because who gives a shit what kids think?) call them lazy, and insinuate they are assholes and then just blame the entire fucking problem on them because, again, that's how you solve problems. By taking the person who has the absolutely least amount of power in the situation and blame them of abusing power (which in this case is abusing the labels that get put on them by authority figures who they trust to guide them).

This rant with never end as long as Old Man Social Anxiety Disorder (or OM-SAD) exists!!!!!!!!!!

I loved your rant about my rant lol, but yeah, some of it you did agree with and I do understand that schools are huge problem too, my mrs, and most of her friends are teachers, from 1-2 all the way to 18 years of age they teach, so i have good knowledge of how it all sucks sadly. But it's true that kids of the current generation do FAR WORSE than they have in the past, with all the fucking law suits that they threaten around giving them immunity to pretty much everything so they can do what the hell they like, or use it as an excuse to. I have seen it with my own eyes or heeard about it far to much for it to be just anecdotal. And of course my rant was just that, a rant, that did indeed have too much anecdotal evidence and generalisations in it so I will apologise for that, as I wouldn't want my rant about something me to annoy somebody else in equal measure. I will stand by me rant, but say that I may have taken it a bit too far lol. But thats what rants are for I suppose!

I will say that the lazy calling part that you have there in your rant isn't at all fair, I did make a generalisation but really I am just meaning the worst offenders, the ones that get the asbos or whatever. Kids are still doing great and getting better and better marks despite the difficult situations of the schools. I think my rant is more at the fact that shit is getting labelled way to readily when it just doesn't need to be. But hey, thats just me. For the record I never mentioned white kids, just kids in general. But I am glad somebody else feels strongly about the current situation of education and to a lesser extent the labelling of 'mental health' too. I hope my retraction of the generalistion I have used and apology has shown you that I don't really have such poorly conceived misconceptions that I may have otherwise shown in my rant.

The kids are suing people to get away with things? I'm not really sure what you're referring to but I would think it is those kids' parents doing the lawsuits on their behalf, no? Most 12 year-olds don't know how to sue someone.

I think you took my terminology a little too literally (which is my fault for how I laid it out tbh), they know that they can't be touched or harassed even verbally by somebody they have wronged and that most things they do will be treated with a slap on the wrists, this is what I meant, this is what I know of England currently anyway, shit goes down and as minors they can just shrug it off and they know it. Means things have gotten a lot worse in the past 10 years with the worst of the worst, making the teaching situation harder and also why we hear more about asbos these days than before.

Hey, I do enjoy a good argument, but I do not sit around waiting, where's the efficiency in that? I'm not lazy excuse-making asshole of a teenager. I hunt, I seek, and then I pounce with strongly worded, verbose, curse laden sentences. It's how I sustain my existence.

Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their Teachers

But what messing with my groove?

As of about 9.30pm last night I have been made a single man.

So there's really only on logical course of action this weekend. It involves me and a bottle of Ciroc

Sorry to hear that Macros.

Messing with my groove. Got the dreaded call back after a job interview to say, "sorry, not this time...but we'll keep you on file..etc". Was only a part time job, but it would have been perfect as a way to have a decent (audio/video related) job, which would have also allowed me the free time to properly pursue some photography and film projects to build my portfolio. Not to be smug, but I do find it hard to believe they found 3 people better suited for the positions than me. But I guess that's what a recession does.

Last official day of my job today, it's been a little frustrating being told we're being let go because of low work load and then having both overtime offered and a meeting canceled cause it was too busy. Then when they could actually spare the time for the meeting to explain what's going on, it turns out they're reshuffling the whole place and would rather bring down crappy keyers from Glasgow than hire temps full time. I want anyone defending zero hour contracts fired into the Sun.
