Had to ban someone on a site I help run for being rude to another longstanding community member.

That ended up "provoking" a flood (20+) of harassing e-mails calling me all kinds of slurs and physically threatening me. I know for sure that I can physically handle myself in a fight with just about anyone who isn't a professional fighter, so I'm not worried about that. However, I am concerned that this person may take other actions, such as contacting my family/friends/colleagues with harrasment and/or nonsense and so on.

Why some people gotta be so stupid, y'all?
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

My direct manager was legit upset but some of the other people - including the one who mentioned a Glasgow facility - appear to have left a few things out. I'm expecting to be offered my previous position back with probably slightly different hours and pay back down to minimum wage pretty soon.

Couldn't sleep all night. Not properly, anyway. I had left my window slightly open to let the fresh night air in, but there was a storm and I kept thinking, in my half sleep, that the storm would get worse any Moment and rain water would get in and on my desk, which is heaped with drawings 'n stuff. I mean, I KNOW I use non-water-soluble ink, but still, water! On my desk! I'm pretty sure I actually got up a couple of times and went to check.. The sensible thing to do would have been to Close the freaking window, but ah, nope.. *sigh*

went to a help a friend out for the day by taking the day off work, which involves me losing around £200 in pay, and on the way there, my windscreen gets a huge ass fucking rock hurled at it by a passing ambulence, causing me to have to get it repaired at further cost. Was very annoyed at the timing of it. But at least it was for a good cause that I was there, and it was an ambulence that did it, on the way to help somebody in need.

Certain referees who see things that aren't there, but are apparently blind to things so obvious that even the guys at the ISS could see them with naked eyes. :)
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

The GF got a car. So now I feel I have to get one of my own, rather early. It's not like I'll mind driving a new Fiesta, but I hate having spendings...

Returned from blissful Honeymoon to arrive at work where things have piled up in my absence, or been done...but done incorrectly...and then there is the customers that feel that I don't have any backup and are demanding new stuff done on top of that.

The only good side is that certain people here who always assumed my job must be easy...discovered that it's actually very difficult.
