Because they decided not to since it falls on a Saturday this year.

Anzac Day is a national public holiday in Australia and New Zealand, and is commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I and also to commemorate the soldiers who fought in France and Belgium.

That's weird...I live in Canberra atm, and I get the day off uni on Monday for ANZAC day, and I go to a federally-endorsed university. So I don't think it's the Government. Maybe some people aren't giving it, and others are? Who knows.

My groove is all out of whack because I have a uni assignment due on Wednesday that I forgot to do over the break. Sigh.

It is up tot he state governments to approve public holidays. Teachers rallied and got a day of for staff and students on Monday. Just not for anyone else

Oh, I never go near the Union so that's probably why lol. I only spend time on res around Bruce and Burgmann Halls and UniLodge outside of classes.
