My entire 3 week trip to Europe last year cost about $7000, and I lived pretty well for all of it, crashing at friends places for only 5 nights. I was eating mostly fast food or having restaurant meals (aside from the awesome spread Hetan and Mal put on

). Plus all the airfares during that period (quite a few) were bought at last minute rates (except the great deal I got from Singapore Airlines), so I got some good deals, and some not so good. Same with hotels and the car rental in Ireland. I may have had (quite) a few drinkies as well.
How the hell can a bulk tour for kids which is ordered well beforehand cost anywhere NEAR what I paid?
Methinks thou art being "gouged".
