So according to that interview he didn't cut in line or get preferential treatment, just ordered his steak rare... so he says.
One time at a diner in Philadelphia I did see someone run in pick up a chair whack someone over the head with it a few times then run out (being chased by other people...). Another time I was part of a (zombie) pub crawl that had reserved entry to a nightclub that doesn't have a separate VIP line, long line outside because they were near capacity and waiting for our (large) group, a Black guy in line tried to walk in behind us and on being denied by the bouncer (also Black) got enraged and punched him in the face several times before getting pushed away. (Thought he might have perceived it as racial discrimination---most of the pub crawl group was non-Black, and wearing white zombie face paint iirc. Man accused of unjustly getting his steak before others looks like a light-skinned Latinx person and some of the brawl participants were Black so I wonder if they thought it was racial discrimination.) Bouncer looked furious but stayed at his post. I was worried that guy would come back with a gun, as happened at a strip club a few blocks away from me (several deaths).
Fewer shootings in the suburbs at least....
'In viral footage of the fight, [...] a man can be heard saying, "All I wanted was some steak!"'
