686mm over last 6 days. Yeesh. And possibly another week of this to go. Apparently it's the most ever recorded in a short time in this area. Lots of nervous people watching the dam levels (191%, yep you read that correctly) and the river levels. I went for a drive this evening and watched the water blasting over the pedestrian bridge that is normally quite a few metres above the average level. We are in a pretty safe area that hasn't had problems historically, but I keep wondering "there's always a first time".
Considering I went through this in December 2010 - January 2011 I'm beginning to think I may be cursed. Or if I lied when I was 17 or something.
Spent most of the day at work enacting emergency plans. Horribly micromanaged emergency plans.
