Last night a dude was murdered near where I work. He was a manager of a local business & had nearly £30k stolen from him.

So I've a fair amount of chance to get a job at Blizzard in Cork, Ireland. As good as that is, it's putting quite a bit of strain and pain into my relationship. Dayum.

Yesterday finally got back to playing soccer after sitting out for 5 weeks due to an injury.
My God, I hurt EVERYWHERE this morning. My back and shoulders KILL, which is really bad news, given I have a desk job and a deadline this afternoon.
On the bright side, my team won the hard-won game. But, Christ, I'm in so much pain whenever I move,

Work + exams + fielding many of my colleagues complaints about work and management = me being absolutely shattered.

Regarding the gamergate stuff, did it at one time have a legit point about the ethics business before it got all crazy and misogynistic? I don't pay much attention to it.

It did not. This iteration started with a false accusation/gossip mill about indie game developer Zoe Quinn about her sexlife, and pivoted to "ethics in journalism" generally after those accusations proved to be ludicrous. But it's just one more cycle of the same hate mob that attacked Anita Sarkeesian nonstop (during the Kickstarter phase, remember, long before she had produced a single entry in the video game series), and women/POCs/anyone deemed a "social justice warrior" any time before that. It started as a lynch mob and remains a lynch mob.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I heard about the whole Taylor Swift album breaking records for sales this week, and then I supported her recent choice (her record companies choice?) to remove her albums from Spotify (I have no issue with artists wanting to make money off their craft, that's how this works...any other opinion is entitlement)...so I stupidly decided to give the newly released album (1989) a listen. Because I'm an idiot.
And fuck me...it's actually good.
I mean as good as a pop album can be. It's pretty flawless in that regard. And not even just the regular version....but the deluxe version with two more songs...both of which are worth listening to as well.
And I'm not sure what my brain wants me to think about that...so it's messing with my groove. I think.
You may as well have at me now...I certainly deserve it.

To be honest, the more I read about her as a person, the more I'm glad people like her music even if it is 'just pop.'
