The hot weather is messing with my groove. Been out filming all afternoon, running around with heavy equipment, and I am now sunburnt and shattered tired (hard to use sunscreen when you're using camera gear and handling lenses, as you can easily smear the glass on the lens with the sunscreen).
All I'm fit for now, is falling asleep on the couch.

Maybe you can find spray-on sunscreen? Might be easier to handle in your case, I guess?

If i had any fuckin sense i would have worn a hat oor baseball cap to keep the sun off, but i was in such a rush i forgot this morning. The problem with the sunscreen is that even if it is a spray on, you end up wiping your forehead when sweating, and can easily transfer it to your fingers then. I hate the heat.

Partner just showed me the Shadow of Mordor demo and talk.
It lost me less than a minute in when the numpty started talking about Sauron not always being evil "because he helped the elves make the Rings of Power". This apparently makes him morally grey.
So, the One Ring was made out of pure goodwill to all men was it?

Just saw too much of a "documentary" program about the Bermuda Triangle. It infuriated me on so many levels. As someone who studied science for far too many years, the level of discussion about any scientific concepts was crap. Each "expert" sounded more delusional than the previous one.
And as someone who also is interested in filmmaking (and originally wanted to focus more on documentary), I find it especially problematic when there are terrible production values for no apparent reason, and more worryingly, no conclusions drawn from an hour long show. How does this shite get made?

You, my friend, would most likely LOVE "The Nostradamus Effect" and "Ancient Aliens". I have not seen this Bermuda Triangle documentary, but it sounds like I may have to check it out. (Granted, if you went in expecting it to be factual, it's your own fault that you didn't enjoy it for the shear fun of poking holes in the logic/"science" used in the show, and the ludicrously low budget effects. You need to watch these things to laugh at them. If you want an actual documentary, stick with the big-name, well-reviewed ones.

Well, there's 99% of your problem right there, QT. Windows 8 (even after 8.1) is a blasphemous failure of an OS, worse even than Vista, as it was foolishly made to cater for both tablets and computers. You need Windows 7. Much better.
(In related news, my work's IT department has had to "upgrade" their computers to Windows 8.1 from Win7. It's hilarious watching them stumble around trying to figure out how it works now. And then watching them try to develop software on it.

If it wasn't such a hassle to downgrade to Win 7 (which I loved), I would do it. But man it seems like such a bloody hassle.
