Soooooo.... I got fired. Can't say I'm feeling completely bad about it, but if I did this a week earlier I'd avoid a fine for it most likely. Meh.

At Open'er Festival, Arctic Monkeys. Gf, her sister, myself, some friends got caught in a stampede situation, enough to send the GFs sis to first aid for bandaging. Then, during the encores, we find an unmoving girl who has been like that for an hour. First Aid station again, they haul her off on a stretcher.

You're 22 and living at home, which means you have relative health and ample time and minimal expenses going for you.

The drag is notorious. Everyone hates the drag. A metric fucktonne of people fail, just because of the drag. But it's not supposed to be easy to run away from a fire, backwards, tired, with lousy visibility, wearing full gear and dragging 300lbs of unconcious fatty.

It's also really easy to train for (in the sense of you know exactly what it requires). Hit the gym and twice a week stuff some rocks in a sack and get to work dragging. Next time you'll nail it.

If you've a military surplus store around, there's some cheap duffles there and you can reinforce the straps somewhat for pulling purposes if you're taking it up to 300 lbs.

Thanks guys. I'll definitely look in to the sacks. I may be getting a big old tire soon too which will help. My metabolism is nuts so I may start a weight gaining formula. Used it when I was in school and it helped.
The good thing is I know I can do the test, cause I was doing it in fire school and the dummy was my only issue wednesday, bad news is I probably won't get another shot for a year or year and a half.

Seriously that is unbelievable.

A family friend named his new son Xavier which she would probably find quite acceptable. Imagine if my friend scrimped and saved working 60 hours weeks as a mechanic (which is what he is) to send his son to a school with her daughter and she heard that name and thought yes thats an acceptable and later met the parents. I get that you might want your son or daughter not to mix with other classes, if you think like that which is ofcourse a whole other disgusting debate, but to do it on something as baseless and inaccurate as the name of a child? Utterly baffling
