They must be from some way out of the way backwoods city. The herb is a pretty blue collar drug around these parts so you never really have to try too hard to find something amazing. But yeah, way too expensive, haven't bought it in years...but that won't stop me from partaking occasionally with some friends that make a habit out of it.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Too expensive? Clearly you just don't know the right people. :w00t:

I haven't, nor will I ever, smoke cigs. My whole family aside from a select few (sister, the odd cousin) smoke cigs and after years of second hand smoke I have no desire to ever try it. Seeing the negative side effects probably helped a bit too. But similar to TT I enjoy the smell of a freshly lit cig.

Now as for weed/pot/greenery/etc I'm a fairly frequent smoker. I probably wouldn't do it as much were I not living with a pot smoker, and my closest friends all being fairly frequent stoners. My main reason for smoking is that I had to cut back on drinking to the point of quitting after coming close to having an ulcer due to stress in my 2nd year of uni. My stomach still hasn't fully healed, hence I get high. :)

I am from Mississippi, but this is the first time in about four years that I've had a hard time finding it - there have been lots of busts around here lately. :) Finally got some today though. :w00t:

Not to be too quote-iterative, but:

Quit smoking, eat bacon!

I smoke hookah on occasions and as far as that goes I love it.

Now technically I don't smoke cigarettes although the other day I smoked a couple of my friend's cigarettes just to prove that I could if I wanted to.

But I don't and the experience only reassured me of the fact that I'm not missing out on anything by being a non-smoker.

I have lost count of the number of times I've tried to quite this year already :) I usually go about 2 months without them and then start again. I don't know why but it's always 2 months. I just bought ciggies this weekend after another 8 week stint without them but I'm planning on making it a one packet slip-up and not buying any more. I just cave so easily the minute I feel remotely stressed or upset about anything. Or bored. That does it too.

My sister can go out for an evening and smoke a half pack and then throw it away and not smoke for months. The only way I've managed to quit is through hypnosis.

I gave up two years ago with the aid of those niquitin chewing gum things. It was hard and made my beer taste funny when I went out, useful in cinemas though. I went out recently with some of my old mates and got pissed and something else. We were up till eight the next day and I smoked the entire evening. I still get urges, but as the habit is kicked, I don't purchase a packet. Glad I didn't do it cold turkey.

My dad did it cold turkey and hasn't lit a cigarette since. He had been smoking for 40 years before that sometimes as much as 2-3 packs a day. He told me one night he went to bed and because he doesn't get too much sleep he usually reads a book and smokes - the morning after that particular night he realized he had smoked an entire pack. It didn't make him feel physically sick - I guess it worked on a mental level that he was simply sick of himself.

I bet I can smoke a pack of cigarettes and still never get addicted to smoking - I simply hate the idea of it too much. I don't hate the taste I don't mind the prices of tobacco I just don't think smoking is logically or culturally justified in any way.

I also deal with boredom by finding something to do or simply by despairing and being depressed until I realize I'm probably on my caffeine low (after I've had like a quadriple espresso four hours ago) or that I simply need more sugar.

I have never smoked, never even tried one...don't think I've ever even been offered one. Even though both parents and both siblings all smoke...but then I'm a good girl! :)

Perhaps someone can explain something to me though...genuine question. My grandad was a miner (yes and the other one was in a choir, I'm from Wales duh!) anyway, he had a min of 40 a day habit...except it wasn't as for the 8 to 12 hours he was underground he would HAVE to go without. How does that work, seriously I don't get how an addict can go so long and be ok, but not be able to give up...and I'm not being facile, I know it's a terrible thing and I have every sympathy with anyone who is trying to kick it....just curious. :)

PS: @ Bubba - brilliant stuff...especially if you haven't felt like smacking anyone. :Crash:
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

The longer you go without a cigarette, the more you want it. I've had to work jobs where I had to go for a long time without, but by the time I got to smoke one I was ready to kill someone, lol. They taste the best when you have to wait for them like that. :)

Its hugely addictive. I can't deal with any stress without needing a fag at this point, and I can smoke thirty a night during a social do without even noticing.
