Whats making you happy right now

Not sure if this is happy so much as glad, but mum's holiday to Sri Lanka got cancelled. Flight path there had Dubai as a layover and, erm, yeah I would very much rather she not right now. Obviously not happy the holiday itself got cancelled because she was looking forward to it, but at least she's not going to be in imminent danger.
Hopefully she can find something short notice, maybe Morocco or Egypt.

The just and rational response would have been to at least anesthetize him and harvest his organs before killing him. His death could have saved lives.
At least unless he has genuine religious objections other than that it sounds icky and non-traditional. (To organ harvesting that is, not to being killed...)
[Edit: or rather: genuine religious objections that wouldn't also apply to him being put in prison, having his property seized, being given mandatory vaccination, and getting knifed in the neck...]

That's pretty good news, if it manages to go forward. And I think that's the right way to go. On the other hand, HULU just killed the Buffy revival tho so I don't wanna get excited too early.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I only just stumbled across this today (ongoing since 2014), but I think it's something we all could use a little more of.

I have two co-workers, both decently educated people in positions of power (who I am friends with) who I have discovered don't believe the first moon landings happened. And my mental wellness cannot take arguing with them or providing simple facts that prove it happened...like 400k NASA employees alone would have had to lie and keep lying for the rest of their lives...like...

I think 90% of the time if not more this is the reaction is the very reason most people hold such beliefs for in the first place. Disengaging is the only victory you can achieve.
