Roofer came by yesterday and sorted gutter. Hopefully the issue with that wall is done now; he said it looked like an outflow was blocked up when I spoke to him.

YO NICE, enjoy! I've heard from friends who've been to his events he's an absolute gent.

On my end: Wife got a job at Primark, so she's back to employed life as of Thursday! Only a temporary part time job (for now) BUT a job nonetheless!

Great news about the job! I hope it's positive for her :)

Your friends are bang on - he comes across as a really lovely man. His age is showing a bit now (understandably!) in that he loses his thread and had to be reminded/prompted a little as to what he was talking about, but he's very funny and remains a great storyteller.

I have been seeing a terrific woman for a couple months now. She's thoughtful, funny, empathetic, a great kisser, and communicative. I'm pretty happy with how things have proceeded so far.

There's quite a few overlaps in our lives and it's notable how we didn't meet until recently - sort of a "we might have been in the same building or room several times over the last 7-8 years" thing.

That's lovely news, long may this continue!

He's Jean Luc Picard, and Professor Xavier, and Mel Gibson once bit his nose off. I would watch this man floss.

Not sure what it is, but you may want to reduce the image dimensions and censor your ID card.
Because you're pretty easy to Google.

I'm not worried about the name. Will delete and try again with the image size fixed. Tried to do it by mobile, but the photo upload wasn't right.

Got a 4th round Job interview with HR on Friday. So far its been HR, Head of US sales, VP of global sales and now its back to HR a different HR manager. All told from round 1 to 4 will be in a 2 week span. Its a major company with good brand recognition. I think they are motivated to move quickly and hire and I believe the plan is to onboard a few new hires relatively quickly.

Still it seems to quick for an offer, I would have expected a panel interview or having to a brief presentation but I assume we will be discussing salary expectations and similar which strikes me as being a very good sign. I already had do to a very basic psychometric and logic test online.

It seems like an odd move but a welcome one

Congrats. We're moving into the American holiday season where it's very tough to get multiple people in the same room for interviews etc, so going fast and getting it done before that is usually a good sign as opposed to waiting until after.

If they were not a major player worth billions the speed would almost be frightening. We will see what the meeting is really about but generally I am taking it as a good sign.

The US head of sales saiid something about wanting to hire someone to start December but I honestly assumed it would be pushed back to January. If they do want to move that quick I’m actually in the Grand Canyon from Dec 1-5….

Yeah I’m was/am very worried about November and December as not being a great time to have be job hunting.

I've seen P&T and Cirque there... you're in for a treat.

Pro-tip - if on the way in to PnT an usher quietly offers to upgrade your set, be prepared to drop at least another $100 in 'tips', and be sure to see where the seat is first. We got great seats w bar service, friends got utterly scammed.

I got a Magic card that I've wanted for years. Little cardboard rectangle that costs a big bunch of money. It's going to do fun stuff for me, so I'm happy.
