...not that anyone noticed me being gone, I figure, but my idiot ass had managed to lock myself out of my account. Thanks to those who helped me getting back in, you know who you are

Puck, they should have postponed Eurovision entirely until you got back into your account!

"The number of quantum states that are possible with only 256 qubits exceeds the number of atoms in the solar system," [...]

Already, the simulator has allowed researchers to observe several exotic quantum states of matter that had never before been realized experimentally, and to perform a quantum phase transition study so precise that it serves as the textbook example of how magnetism works at the quantum level.'

Indeed. Comparatively speaking, you could almost say it's wafer thin ...

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

The wife is working. The oldest is at summer camp, and the youngest is at Grannys.

I just took a 3 hour couch nap. It was amazing.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

I don't even have a family and naps have come to be my favorite moments of the day.

I don't think there's a time of the day where I'm not just a little bit tired. Middle age is rough.

I should become a cat in my next life.

Pulled off 1.8 clicks in 45 min at the pool today.

Considering I've spent the last 5 days getting drunk by the dock in 35+ degree heat and only occasionally dipping into the lake to avoid burning alive, that's damn good result.

Booked a time for my wedding next May. We're hoping for the pandemic to have calmed down enough for her parents to come over from Brazil by then. And, even though we've talked about it for a while, I keep finding myself smiling over it now that we've actually made the reservation.

Anyone think Bezos will become a fiery God tomorrow morning or still remain in his mortal shell for now?

He will survive, but become so badly burned he has no choice but to become cyborg-Bezos.

As a fan of the lawnmowerman movie I must point out that the Lawnmowerman is a god in cyberspace, not a cyborg. #notmylawnmowerman

Cyborg Bezos will have direct brain/body-computer interfaces making him one with cyberspace. Obviously this will make him into lawnmower man (but also a cyborg).

Don't know if any members hail from there, but if so, I'll happy post for you because you're probably hungover (or still drunk). Some crappy beer had to have been imbibed in copious quantities last night.

Stephen Yaxley Lennon, beloved fascist poster boy of the right wing knuckle draggers in this country, is having to pay a Syrian schoolboy £100,000 in libel damages and that is making me happy:

Flying down to Orange County California for work, this ‘free’ work cation is turning out to be quite expensive despite work paying for hotels and flights. I added two days extra for myself and wowzer! Hotels ain’t cheap.

Still I’m excited. Gonna hit disneyland!

If anyone from the forum lives there and wants to meet sometime over the next five days let me know.
