It's like a stream of unconsciousness.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Boomer is just the silliest insult(?) that appears to be spreading like wildfire. All I can think when I see it is “poor sha”.

What's annoying about it is that instead of a term thrown at ACTUAL Boomers for showing Boomer mentalities...it's just become a term that young people throw at anyone older than them. People at my work who are Millennials have been called it by their kids. I've been called it, and I'm a Gen-Xer, and I've even seen some Gen Z people called it on TikTok.

It went from clever, to asinine the minute people thought it was a good slander term for "not listening to older people" and not something to actually call legit Boomers (born 1943-'63).

Some land near by has been cleared out and paved in prep for a new community and whoever drew it up was clearly smoking crack and drinking wine. It looks awful back there but it’s empty still so as my daughter had an appt today I had to take her to I surprised her afterwards by letting her drive. It’s such a simple thing but it made her day and thus made mine.

Now I have to go to the groove thread cause a Junior has invited her to Prom... fuck now my day is ruined. Fuck the groove thread I can’t type that up again.

Time to hide the lube better.

Always lovely to see family traditions passed on.

If he were nice about it he would get a new bottle and leave it in the glovebox with a ribbon and a kind note. Maybe some condoms.

...wait, hey BK are there already condoms in the glovebox?

What was going to be a potentially hellish week in April has turned into something rather exciting. Both my solicitors are off that week and there's nothing worse for me than scrabbling for work, so I'd been toying with booking it off regardless. Anyway, boyfriend may not be a blacksmith but he is a hill walker.... short version, we're off to the Lakes for a few days to (amongst other walks) climb Scafell Pike :)

Ah, Lakes should be lovely that time of year, provided it doesn't pour it down (which, to be fair, it usually does).

I assume you already have accommodation, but if not: https://holidaycottages.co.uk or https://www.sykescottages.co.uk/. We managed to find one smack bang inbetween Bowness and Windermere (10-15min walk either way) for a really good price, called Steps Cottage. Little bungalow tucked away from the main road, perfect base of operations.

This is true. There was blacksmith-related disgruntlement and lack of approval!
