Start uni tomorrow, and only just looked at my finalised timetable (unofficial ones came out weeks ago). I have a 3 day week and have no classes before noon. Gotta love uni sometimes.

Managed to make it home safely despite the snow and slippy-slidey roads. Especially happy when i see how many abandoned cars there are up the hill i just negotiated. Phew.

Went to a bahelorette party on Saturday and had loads of fun! A man complemented me on my archery skills
Also hugged things out with a certain MLK, which feels pretty good. Now I don't have to waste a lot of time and energy on wanting to murder her right in the face every time I see her
I'm pretty happy nowadays. Breaking up was definitely the right choice!

Love being able to party and have fun without drinking. Yesterday was great, and today is almost better because of no hangover - unlike the friends I was partying with. Also, unlike aforementioned friends, I remember the whole of last night, although I'm not entirely sure whether that's solely a good thing, but whatever. Life is good!

It was ever thus.

I'm my normal red-headed self again, yay. For some reason no shop in the whole town was selling the dye I prefer for several months O_o

My boss told a co-worker that I am invaluable.
It's nice to be appreciated.

Unfortunatey, Sombra is right King Kamza. In the army it's the kiss of death to be "invaluable" at a particular job.
Ps. Good on ya for being good and taking pride in what you do, it's surprising how many people don't.

Just watched a bunch of TED talks while having my lunch. Some of the speakers and their work are so inspiring. I feel a bit better about humanity now (though that feeling will fade as soon as i head into town).
While i love the science talks, I find myself being more inspired by the people merging artistic/creative sensibilities with engineering solutions. There are some great talks about urban renewal on the TED site.
But, my favourite talk is probably this one, which i've watched a few times, about the problems with how we educate young students today. The speaker, Sir Ken Robinson is an awesome public speaker, and manages to make his points in an amusing but poignant fashion. It's well worth a listen.
Be warned though, it is approx 20 mins long.
