Went to a farewell party on Friday for a friend who's moving to Barbados with his girlfriend to work there, the shenanigans after the party (including a blank where I walked two miles in three hours and redirecting a taxi from home to a house to steal a friend's vodka) meant I left town at 6:48am on my first bus, got home, died from a truly awful hangover, struggled back to life 4pm Saturday, went out just to meet some other friends and not drink, left them to go home, got redirected again to a club and then a house with tons of booze, got utterly wankered again, left town on a bus at 9am, got home, and didn't have a hangover. Truly this has been a great weekend.

After reading Illy post I kinda regret not going out but Im happy because I didnt go out other wise even this last minute presentation stuff im going over now would not have happened.

The cherry sauce I made on friday is officially awesome. And while I am still debating whether turning it down was a good move or not, I was offered a threesome on saturday by the girl I was making out with.

OK. It's a dessert sauce, but depending on the seasoning you could make it work with duck or a paté, too.
So, take a load of cherries (anywhere between 200g to half a kg), get the stones out (aka chop them in half), half a litre of red wine (or port), add sugar ( I prefer spooning it in while I stir) & heat.
Additions: perhaps a stick of cinamon, a clove or even bay leaf could work (make sure to remove these well in advance or they'll be overbearing).
Keep cherries & wine boiling moderately until the alcohol is gone, then just keep it hot enough to reduce the sauce until it becomes really syrupy (took me around 90 minutes). Filter (or not). You can use the remains of the cherries as a compote-like thing, they should be full of winy goodness and sweet, but the syrup/ sauce alone is awesome to go with anything chocolaty, vanilla/ yoghurt ice cream or, perhaps, belgian waffles. If you do it as prep, seal the sauce and keep it warm au bain marie.

Did my 2 presentations today with a load of 11 yr olds and 17 yr olds who are applying for uni over the next few months. It actually went really well and gave me good experience for my aim of being a secondary school teacher.
Also I graduate tomorrow
. I put my cap and gown on earlier. I kept on saying 'Na na na na na na BATMAN' for obvious reasons and cant wait to do it 2moro.
