Awwww shucky ducky! On the drive home the snow was flyin! Not sure if a lot is going to stick other then on grassy areas, but damn, I might have to get my snow shovel out and ready for some action tomorrow morning.

Take that summer! Fuck you! about a 1/2 ft. of snow fell last night. Didn't require any shoveling though, ground still too warm for it to stick to concrete and asphalt. The grass had a nice covering though. And the trees took a beating. They are still leafed out and so the branches were weighed down prominently to the point some look like they were going to snap.

Check out this craziness though: around the state, one city set a record high on Sunday @ 103įF, last night they had the earliest freeze ever recorded. And even wackier, in another town they set a record high and a record low on the same day and they got 13 1/2 inches of snow. Shit is craycray with this extreme weather, climate change/global warming going on. Like bizarre shit never before seen.

Watched a huge twin bladed helicopter transporting metal rods to rebuild the high lines that are just folded in half from 130+ mph hours long wind. Granted these were quite old but still I mean just damn. Both quite a sight to see. In stunning disbelief at the shear power that fucker unleashed to fold those massive things over and yíall should know by know how happy I get when I see aircraft.

Holy crap, a Rick Moranis sighting! Damn, I sometimes wondered whathappened to him and if he was happy. Growing up, we had the "Honey I" movieson pretty regular rotation, and they were a favorite of mine. I wondered ifhe was happy and content in retirement. He looks good, so this makes me happy. Leave it to that Canadian hunk Ryan Reynolds, to bring us this cheer.

I started working part time when I went back to work after maternity leave. Mondays off with the kid and then 4.5 days work condensed into 4 days. It probably made life harder than easier but I couldn't stomach a 20% paycut - I've got this big subconscious issue with financial independence. I assumed I would rearrange my work hours again when he went to school but with the pandemic and my recent health problems it just seems silly to try to control life via plans. So here I am, kid in school, partner on a rare foray into the office, no work. I'm properly alone for the first time in bloody ages. YIPEE!!

Just bought a new sofa.

We have been getting by on a hand me down (from my folks)(it's older than me). Now it was a decent sofa, years ago, and it isn't ratty in anyway, no rips or tears or anything like that on the cushions and materials, but damn it is uncomfortable. Like we sat on it for longer than usual yesterday, watched 2 EPs of the boys and a movie and my back is Killing me today. We actually went sofa shopping yesterday, literally the first one we looked at, we loved. Looks wise it's perfect for the apt, size wise is nearly to the cm what we were looking for. Hella comfy and as it's a display model a solid 30% knocked off the price.
We were debating going for a new one of the same, but the lead time is brutal, earliest would be Jan/Feb. So I said fuck it and went in this morning and dealt for it. It's getting delivered Thursday

God of War 5 I assume? I saw that image in the PS5 stream, and can't think of anything else it could be.

Iím kinda excited.. sis in law found us an RV to park in our yard while we wait for repairs on house. It is in Ft Fucking Worth though. Iím gonna ride with them to pick it up just because itís that tiny fraction more westward and I ll finally after 40 yrs be able to say Houston ainít the furthest west Iíve ever been.

I ll be going even further than that though later on. One of my lovers is moving to Colorado Springs(where ever the fuck that is) Colorado and Iíve already promised Iíd take a week(end) once winter gets here and itís snowing. So this Cajun is invading Colorado in multiple ways in a while. I sure hope I donít get a contact high from all that nasty ass weed stinking up the winter air while Iím there.

Haha! I just have the biggest grin on my face. The Stanley Cup finals this year is being played by two teams (Dallas and Tampa Bay) that I don't think could be further from Canada. Hey Canada, you suck at your national sport. Be better Can't-A-Duh... be best.

Wifey is working, kids are at grandmas. I've got a case of Oktoberfest and mexican food. I'm gonna sit on the front porch and listen to good music until they're both gone.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Very happy Beta didnít get up to Cat 1. So thatís good news for both here and home. One less thing to panic about that we donít have abandon base camp here and push further away from home.

Still nervous about the house with this slow mover though being as structurally comprised as it is. Weather is really starting to pick up this past hour. Itís kinda beautiful actually as the sky is more yellow then the typical dark tropical systems usually are. Itís going to be a windy few days starting tonight. That rain is coming down like mad right now.

Iím just counting the days now till we get our RV for the yard at the end of the month. Itís gonna be wonderful ďbeing homeĒ after being gone for an entire month and change. Iím not counting the week or so I was there afterwards as I had to sleep in my neighbors shop.

Oh and I forgot to even say anything about the temperature. We are still feeling the affects of that dry air cold front from the other day so we havenít pushed much past like 71F and with the wind and rain if it gets on you itís down right chilly outside! Fabulous!

Woot power has been restored 4 hours ago after 26 days off! Only problem is Iím stuck in flooded Houston. Iíd be racing back otherwise tonight. Hope them interstates are drained enough to get past but I will be just heading right back into Beta and getting ahead of it only to wait for it to hit me again lol.

Baking Soda in a crock pot will work getting the musty smell out right? The AC finally running will help but that stench is in the walls now with that no no word that must not be mentioned except by a certified no no word expert caking the walls.

And back home. Power is on and surprisingly the AC is keeping the house cool even with holes all in the roof. Took massive amounts of the stench outta this bitch to so phew! I still canít sleep here with the no no word all in the house but atleast I ll be able to really work inside in comfort. Fuck this is gonna be a massive project inside here. Atleast I got my WH40K bricks to chill at kitchen table with. I have zero furniture left besides the wooden chairs and computer chairs. Hopefully just one more trip to Houston and back in a few days to get our animals and then itís just time to hurry up and wait for the road of recovery in our brand new RV.
