I've lived there in the past and have likely mentioned it, and I still live in Southern California, but it's probably also worth mentioning how big California is (eg 175% the size of the UK).
Good visuals: https://www.sparefoo...-is-california/
Also, as mentioned, the Hollywood vibes.

I assumed you're some form of Hollywood big shot, yes...

I know Southern California pretty well having been a number of times, have family there etc. My aunt and uncle live about 45 minutes from Anaheim #GoAngels

I'm gonna assume that's some heavy metal thing even though it sounds like a Pulp couplet.

We need a thread for things that are both making you happy and messing with your groove simultanously.

I have submitted an applcaition for my first Solo, Adult apartment. I will be living alone for the first time in my life, no family and no room mates. I will be furnishing for my place for the the first time. What a headache buying and budgeting furniture is!

I will be in the centre city of philadelphia but have been forced to give up in unit laundry for the far inferior in building laundry, in exchange though Ill have a pretty good view from the 19th floor, a great location and a modern kitchen and what is hopefully just enough space in a 1 bedroom apartment to be comfortable as I work from home Full time

I am happy to have a place here on this forum. Seriously, you all have supported me one way or another through some of the worst moments in my life and truly helped me get through it all. Thank you.

It is! It's the lyrics from a Sabaton song, Ghost Division. The original is "Panzer elites" but it has the sort of insanely catchy tune that my brain will do automatic word swaps too.

Got my second dose on Saturday and had no side effects from it. Was worried since most people my age has been bedridden the day after. Sadly, feeling great is not a valid reason to skip work...

I took the next 5 days off work.

Not counting weekends, I think I’ve taken 2 days off this year. So 5 days off, with dnd on Sunday, is gonna be awesome.

Awesome possum and cool beans, the highest peaks got a dusting of snow last night. Should I have a pumpkin spice latte to celebrate? Sadly the highs are going to be back into the mid 90s, and will stay there for the next few days according to short term forecasts.

And also this.

Today, I had my last day at a job I've been at for ten years. Also, looking at a couple of apartments on Thursday. I've never lived completely alone, either, and the prospect feels kinda scary. And also expensive as far as buying a whole new kitchen and stuff goes *sigh*

This is neat, never heard of them either. I'm ready for Darwin's Radio with a side of Magneto though. Get it over with already.
