First morning we got that crisp chill snap in the air. And damn if feels good and is a relief. I hope it will be a pattern now and we get to autumn weather. The summer here has been uncomfortable hot and dry, as they seem to be anymore.

Cancer free for 3 years. I actually missed the anniversary and it went unremarked. Still seems a good reason to celebrate.

Also a little sad, I made a decision to get healthier after I got cancer. Time in the cancer ward showers me the value of health when your older. And I did keep to that goal! I excercised, walked more, got a trainer. However moving the USA, gyms closed and covid and all that work is down the drain for sure.

There's plenty of progress to be made doing body weight exercises or using adjustable Dumbbells, bands, etc.

I feel you pain though. For the first month or so after my gym closed, I stuck to a dailey regiment of exercises 5-6 days a week at home but after a while I just lost all motivation. It's just not the same.

Buy a Switch and start playing Ring Fit Adventure and Just Dance.

Nice shoutout to -among others - your dude Brandon Sanderson. A pity the interviewer didn't ask about your favourite book, Oathbringer. ;)

Don't forget about us little folk when you're having naked money fights with hot fangirls.
Actually, that would be a very good time NOT to remember us little folk. Have at it then. :D

@Apt
Now I have a mental image of you aerobicising to Gaga's "Just Dance". "Disturbing" is one of the gentler terms I'd use. :shock: :apt:

I wouldn't feel too bad. Sanderson wrote a bestseller novella in the time it took you to post that.

Also, congrats!

My first wedding anniversary is today. Been a weird year in terms of the world and somehow still a great year with her.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I have begun working again!

12 hours a week, but still, it's a good feeling doing something productive again.

And it is good!
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Got a job offer (also already bitched about it elsethread). On the whole, that's still better than nothing, so I'm cautiously optimistic. If I arrange it just right, I might actually finally get enough piece of mind back to become more productive again.
